However many your comfortable with if all the sudden you can’t get any more mags.

Exactly!
Magazines are an expendable resource with a finite life span. That being said, these shockwaves are well constructed mags that should last a long time.
I guarantee you that shockwave will not make mags for our niche market forever and I am also confident that the mags I've bought will go up in value over time.
There are a pile of NFA things I wish I would have invested in years ago. Mags are on the cheaper end of the spectrum!

Jackie asked me today why there was a run on mags. I told her Jake is causing a panic sale. :)

Shockwave is not actually "making" the formed metal parts in small batches. As previously posted in another thread, making the magazine body and base plate takes specialty equipment. Spring manufacturing again is a specialty manufacturing process done by a company that makes springs. I would also think that the followers are injection molded. Again that would tend to be a specialty company. I would think Shockwave bought quantities of specific parts from the the Manufacturers specializing in such parts and put the parts together into completed magazine, then package them. That is the part that I believe Shockwave is doing.

If that is actually at Shockwave, I stand corrected. Somehow I think that was posted by Shockwave but that is not Shockwave equipment. That is very specialized equipment. Shockwave is not known for sheet metal forming. They have a bunch of different products.

So someone still has the stamping dies for the Z mag S's.

I am sure that Shockwave still has the dies for Z-mag S. It comes down to what it will cost for a run of the mags. It took years to sell the first run. Shockwave has said that is not economically viable for them to do a run. There was a thread that listed the cost.

It appears that the zmag sale was for a set number of units, when the sale quantity depleted, panic hit, then panic abated once the availability replenished. Apparently they are still widely available.

Advice on what mag loader to use for these? I can only get 24 rounds in before it is impossible to load more.

If they are just the normal z-mags, a Mac-11 loader works great. Maglulas work great too.

I have the m11/9 mag loader and it will not fit on the mag

My factory mag loader that came with my m11/9 works on my z mags, that’s what I use. I don’t want to load the mags too fast or I’ll just waste ammo faster lol.
