for what its worth, I wouldnt trust the counter at shockwave.
this morning (1/19/21) they showed 8 left. I bought them.
this afternoon, they are presently showing 27 left.

maybe they're trying to increase demand by artificially presenting decreased supply. which is bullshit.

just a guess. but I'm 100% sure I would have bought more mags if I knew they were available.
that said, I will not be buying more, just on principle.

This is without a doubt what they are doing. Plus when I asked if they were going to do the 6 packs I was told that they wanted to get their stock up on them and then they would. So I think that they are limiting what is shown in stock for that reason also.

Apparently neither of you had been involved in a small business? As with many other niche markets, there is very rarely a "one stop shop ". My guess would be that Shockwave bought the metal parts in the mag from a company that specializes in forming sheetmetal, the springs from a company that specializes in forming springs, and an injection molding company that would make the followers. Then they must put the parts together into a functional magazine and package it. All the while riding heard on making sure the parts for their other products get made, assembled, and packaged so they can keep the doors open. Will there be multi pack discounts? I would think so. But if you were the one putting mags together and you could sell every single magazine you can put together and packaged for full retail, would you be interested in giving a package deal when you can't keep up on demand? I know that I wouldn't. YMMV.

I own a small business presently and have been involved with others, some of them being "retail". I'm up front with my customers.
I dont feel that's particularly up front.
it could be a case of bad timing on my part, but passing along the experience.
ymmv
