3d printed M11/9 upper cap

I know the hits have been coming pretty fast on the 3D printed stuff but it's got me fired up! Check this doohickie out: it's a cap for an 11/9 upper to hold the bolt in for storage. I have dropped a CFW bolt on my foot and can vouch for the usefullness

I have this queued up to print. I'm interested to see if it fits a Lage upper, or just a stock style upper. His other designs are supposed to fit Lage uppers so we shall see.

There is commercially a very similar device used on an AR that keeps the bolt and charging handle from sliding out. I have a couple and these are worth every penny.

I was using some giant rubber bands but they don't age well and when they get a few years on them they tend to disintegrate....and there goes your bolt, on the kitchen tile or wood floor.

Love the cap.

My contribution to this is a fake upper to keep my CW bolt nice and safe. I have several bolts that need homes. Printed on Prusa angled side down, made to fit prusa mk3s height. I'll probably do one for the lage 22lr kit as well.

Retaining ping comes with the lower piece. I noticed that these do not work on Lage uppers that have pic rails installed on the sides.

My rubber band got old and less snappy. Now I use a fat zip tie.

I’ve got 2 of the caps that don’t meet my standard (the bottom bridge didn’t have the right supports) they work fine bu I am printing new ones. If anyone wants one of the caps and a pin IM me your address and I’ll send one out.

Those upper receiver covers are pretty slick. Printed out a few and work great for most uppers. Need to mod one for the Max11/15 and do some for the M10.
