People can use this thread for comments, thoughts, photos on this year's shoot.

We had a nice dinner last night at Spring Creek BBQ and we gave out awards after dinner. Here are the results of the match. The "make or break" part of the match was the off-handed series of steel and paper, which many of us struggled with.

Many thanks to chili17, Austin, James and Paul for running the match. Excellent job!

Too much fun and it was great to meet everyone.

Special thanks to Rover Dave for helping me get my Uzi running right. It was a good time.

You and the dead guy have had your trophies impounded pending review by the sanctioning bodies. (meaning, I picked them up for you as I went to the dinner).

I'm not dead

I still got crushed in the match by the local ringer. Not only did I have to explain being late for dinner but I also had to explain how I lost 9 dollars gambling on the stages.

Thanks for grabbing my award, Mr X

Man I had a blast :) It was great to finally meet people in person and to shoot my first ever match. I think they must have been drinking when they scored because somehow I wasn't last.

Thanks again, Dave, Chili, Austin and the rest of the guys who helped make this all possible.

:allright What a day! Thanks RD, Chili17 for getting the event together. A lot of work went into this. I can't remember every ones names but I enjoyed meeting everybody. I can't believe there are so many great folks that share their knowledge (and weapons!) and take the time to answer questions enthusiastically. These people are in a class by themselves. RD where are we going next year?

Woohoo! I'm still massively stoked! Four seconds off RoverDave, and with a borrowed gun...and I hadn't handled a full-auto of any flavor in years! (also my first ever entry in any kind of shooting competition) :gym Big time thanks to ScooterTrash for letting me be an operator of his fantastic flawless example of the fine art of Uzi, I owe you one bro.

...and it's an even bigger "I owe you one". My wife is now convinced we need to buy a subgun so we can get in to this sport.

it looks and sounds like the event went off without a hitch. I suspect Vegas SMG got his peg leg stuck in the mud or he had a hell of a time clearing malfunctions =). It's nice to see how Chili17 operates.. invite folks to town so you can host a subgun match then wipe the floors with the competition =)

I look forward to more pics and please ohh please tell me somebody took video

Wow, what a great weekend. Yet another top notch bunch of guys attending this year's shoot. Really, it was a pleasure to visit with everyone that showed up. The location worked out great and the weather was with us. I've been collecting photos today and more will be rolling in. There are a LOT of great photos that I'll put together in a new library page. I'll start working on it on the trip home toimorrow.

I know SubGunFan has his video camera out a lot so there should be some good video.

Wow, what a great time!!! My first subgun match and UziTalk event were an awesome experience! It was great meeting everyone.

Thanks to so many of you guys who shared your toys with me, and all the great teaching I received. Your generosity was greatly appreciated!

Special thanks to RoverDave, Chili17 and everyone else who made this a terrific weekend. And RoverDave, thanks for fixing my gun, and then letting me use your FA Uzi in the match! SubGunFan, I owe you one for your great pre-match coaching!

To you guys that didn’t attend. Don’t miss the next one!!!

For thouse that are curious, Chris had piece of bullet, probably a jacket, bounce back off a steel target. It grazed the edge of his left forearm just right to open up a good gash. As coronelli said, he was at the banquet Saturday night after getting stitched up and was back Sunday for another full day of shooting.

Everyone was really good about wearing eye and hearing protection all weekend. Thank you!
