7.62x39 Wolf ammo getting scarce?

I notice it's going for about 140 a 1000 round case lately, I would imagine it's going up in price just like everything else. But there's some speculation that the ammo hasn't been shipped for a little while?

Anybody got any theories on availability? Wolf's website has nothing on their press release section.

I've heard that the global demand for 7.62x39 has increased due to several factors. I imagine high gas prices also have something to do with it since it costs more to transport things, especially heavy items.

i believe its all military cals that are going up......And its that old supply and demand thing............there going up here also.......along with 5.56..........:heavy

Since reading this post, I've been checking around and found that several key dealers are out of stock on Wolf 7.62 x39, and yes, the prices are going up.

I read on one of the boards that the Russian military is "turning over" their inventory and all of the manufacturing facilities are going all out to meet production. Don't know if it's true but it makes sense. Another thought is the number of container ships that can't make it through New Orleans is having an impact on alot of imports.
