Serial #1 of the Tactical Bolt...

..is in my hot little hands. Picked it up from Richard last night (the awesome advantage of living close to the MAN) and am heading to the range now. Just have to verify that this wonderfully machined chunk of steel works as good as the prototype. It sure looks better. Very nice detail. The machining involved in creating the tactical bolt is obviously more expensive to produce than the standard bolt.

I held out the prototype to Richard as he handed me serial #1 of the production bolt, so I was not without a tactical bolt for even a second. Very important in maintaining item #7 from previous message. If only I had a PACT timer...

Richard,

I'd also be interested in knowing about a redo on a standard 650 Max-11 bolt to a 750 rpm tactical bolt if it's possible that is.

I truly enjoy my 650 bolt and shoot the hell out of it whenever I can.But sometimes an upgrade can be a good thing.

My email is: sacaircom@yahoo.com

Thanks for a KILLER product and you great service to all of us too!!

I'll check with my CNC shop and see what the modification would cost along with a new spring and refinishing with black oxide.

Richard,

Any update on this? I believe several of us are interested in having our 600rpm bolts converted to 750rpm bolts.

I did talk to the CNC shop about remachining old bolt weights. Unfortunately, it cannot be done. They said something about a fixturing problem and it warping after it is machined to the new spec's.

As an alternative, you can purchase the 750 RPM bolt weight by itself for $110.00 and a new full length spring for $8.00 plus $8.90 for shipping. Total: $124.90. You would need to remove the old bolt weight from the bolt assembly and use blue loctite and torque and stake the bolts.

If you would like to send it to me for retrofitting the total cost including return shipping will be $139.90.
