Has anyone loaded the IMI 158 gr. bullet specifically for pistol shooting? I've got a bunch of these bullets and want to work up a subsonic load for my HK USP/ Trident 9 but can't find any data in the loadbooks past 147 gr. bullets. Thanks.

I worked up a load like this a while back because I couldn't find any info. I used a cast bullet from a lee six cavity. Sized them to .356 and tumble lubed them. I started my charge at 1.6 gr of unique, then worked it up to 3.6 gr unique. OAL was 1.136 and they fed perfectly in my max11. Don't have a cchrono but they stayed subsonic and were very quiet.

Forgot to add that mold used was a lee tl358-158-2r

I thought lead bullets in a can is NO-NO.......................

.

A take apart it is AOK and a lot of the newer centerfire pistol cans are. I've shot about 2K of lead reloads through my Trident and it is pretty nasty looking. Time to get it jail broken to clean.
