Finally my AC 556 is out of jail thought I'd post a pic. Gun runs great!! These Rugers are so under rated in the NFA world IMO

These Guns Are really reliable, and the shorter barrel doesn’t have the barrel flip of the 18” of the minis and gbs.

just got it a month ago andi'm lovin' mine. had a minor issue with the selector but i think the PO had installed the trigger group improperly into the receiver. runs great now. it came with a 22lr conversion i need to find time for.

That is a very nice AC! Congratulations. One that is in this condition needs paperwork to accompany it. I would highly suggest you spend ten bucks and get a Ruger Letter of Authenticity for it. In the long term, you will recoup that cost tenfold. Here is a Ruger letter for one of my ACs.

Everything! Ergonomics, esthetics of the short folder. The recoil impulse, reliability, and sound. The gun is very well made. I love how the selector is so solid feeling. The rifle feels like it was built to last a very long time. My only negative is that the barrel really heats up fast, although that's going to be true with all full autos

I'll run 2 mags then let it sit awhile. Good idea though.

I got my letter back from Ruger. Mine was made in Jan 1984 and shipped out in Feb 1984 to Sile NY. Sile Imported the Chinese Norinco AK pre ban rifles back in the 90s
