Hi there. I've got a Glock 23 that I just ordered a threaded conversion 9mm barrel and have my stamp due any day on my SBR mini Vector Uzi. I'm looking for a can that can go back and forth between both of them adequately. The Gemtech Multimount looks interesting with the LID for the Glock and the attachment for the Uzi barrel nut. Is there anything else out there comparable, better or to consider before having my FFL take me down the Gemtech route? Thanks gents.

Gemtech makes top shelf gear. I have a Gemtech Mossad II for my Uzi. I'll share that I have no experience with the products you mentioned.

Usually large volume suppressors are used on SMG due to the high rate of fire ( gas production). The larger size thus makes them unwieldy and unbalanced for a pistol.

I say go for it as your first silencer. I do fore-tell you will become hooked on NFA and get a second suppressor specific to the pistol or SMG.

Have fun

I also have the Mossad for my full auto vector Uzi and Iam waiting on my stamp for a Gemtech Multimount which I think would be a good can for you.I plan to use my Multimount on pistols and SBRs ,you just need different threaded mounts

I would take the SWR Octane over the Multimount

I'm googling it... Doesn't look like there is a barrel nut mount for Uzi, would require that my Uzi barrel be threaded. Unless I'm wrong, that seems to be a strike in favor the Multimount. Why would you prefer the SWR?

I have SWR and Gemtech suppressors. I will not get another Gemtech. Read about them on the suppressor forums.

I have Gemtech suppressors and would buy their product again with no reservation.....
I have suppressors from 6 different manufacturers and my Gemtech experiences have been excellent.

have the trinity... precursor to the multimount. use it on various pistol hosts glock, hk, & sig plus on a talon upper with registered lower. very happy with gemtech service the one time I used it to update my blackside with an lid to use on a sig p220. wasn't a problem on my usp tact or uspct but needed it to use on the p220 also.

I've got both the Uzi mount for my Trident, as well as having had a barrel chopped & threaded.

The thread job cost roughly half of what I paid for the Uzi mount.

Octane 9, chop and trilug the barrel. I just did that for my trident 9 and worlds better than the uzi mount. Qd and shorter by a good margin.

See your other posting, you can see the shortened barrel and the quick detach Tri-lug adapter separated with the trident on the uzi mount. I had te barrel cut back almost to the barrel but and then either use a thread on Thompson sg or a Tri-lug adapter on the barrel and then the trident Tri-lug adapter. The trident with thread on is the shortest overall length on my setup. Shorter barrel = shorter overall length, and that's why I had it cut back.
