Another Vector Question

Hello From The Jungle!!

As always I am looking for that special deal. I have located a reg. full size bolt for the uzi. I need to know if I can use one of the receivers that are listed for sale by Sarco and others to build up my new toy. Can Vector drill the trunnion to use IMI full auto barrels, remove the barrel ring, heat treat & re-finish the receiver. I already have the top cover and grip assembly. Can they re-finish these also.

Any idea the cost of such an adventure.

Well first, Vector can do anything with an UZI as far as their physical capability. Cost is a question you'd have to ask them about. If you're looking for a cheap way, buy an unwelded GI receiver from Kentucky Imports (the link is in the links forum parts thread) and have Vector finish the assembling/welding with your parts. Remember though, the bolt would be essentially married to that receiver since it would be an illegal post ban gun otherwise or you'd need all the required post ban/US made parts for it. Karl.

Vector may or may not do this. They might want a ruling from the BATFE Tech Branch to go ahead with it. You could always ask Vector.
