Any potential m11 owners worried about no more Lage 22 uppers?

Have been debating my first MG purchase for a while and was getting ready, i think, to finally make a purchase, probably a m11/9.

However, just reading now, it seems the Lage 22 kits are sold out and will no longer be made anymore. I have to admit, this was one of the uppers I was really excited about. Now I’m not sure what to do.

Anyone else in this position? Were these really not that popular for some reason? Am i missing something?

Yes I was, so I bought one second hand. Not sure if there is another run planned.

I'm on a list to buy one. Sent them an email on 12/18/2019. They said this....

"Thank you for your interest in our products. I have added you to the waiting list for the M-11/22 mk2 and you are #124. We estimate to have your kit ready in 4-6 weeks. I will send you an e-mail as soon as your kit is ready. If you need anything in the meantime, please feel free to contact me. Thank you! "

I imagine there very busy and I'm in no hurry so I haven't bothered them since

Well, i emailed. I can only imagine had i not checked in here for a few months and they were all gone.

Is there anything else related to pick up before it's too late?

M11/22, CFW-A bolt, Max 31. They all make the M11/9 into very different but very enjoyable SMGs. Extra mags for each and some key spare parts. And fill your garage with ammo as soon as you can. You also need a couple of suppressors to suit. (9mm and 22). You want to die rich or happy?

It is my understanding that the previous run of .22lr kits was two years ago. It might be another two years from now that Richard does another run. The .22lr kits come up for sale on the secondary market. Current transfer times from a dealer to individual or entity are taking a year to process. If you bought a M11/NINE today, you wouldn't have it transferred to you until next year. That gives you a whole year to look for a .22lr kit for the gun you bought today from a local dealer with one in stock. If you buy from an out of state dealer Form 3 transfers are taking a month. If you buy from an out of state individual or entity it would take another five months to transfer the gun to your local dealer plus the year transfer to you. That is plenty of time to look for whatever accessories you want for the gun. To me the biggest issue is to get the clock started. Like I said, you have a year before you can bring it home if you bought the M11/NINE today. Good luck with the purchase of your first machinegun.

I wonder if the current bill working it's way through the Arizona Senate will have any effect on Richard's business? https://legiscan.com/AZ/bill/SB1625/2020 Growning up in Phoenix, I have always thought Arizona would be one of the last 2nd amendment states to stand. I guess I was wrong. To quote Vegas " These are the good old days"

Just like Vegas, how many California plates do you see there in AZ? They bring with them the California anti gun sentiment. Expect with more Californians to try to make the area more like where they came from.

Arizona is safe for the moment. Bills won’t make it to the floor and the Governor won’t sign them. The state Dem’s introduce anti gun bills every year and it goes nowhere. If you are in Phoenix tomorrow, show up for the 2nd Amendment rally at the capitol. I’ll be there with my Wife and friends.

Never say never, but Richard Lage has said no more .22 kits will be made. They will still provide customer service.

I emailed Lage back in December to get on the list, and did not get a response so I sent a second request in January. I was told the list was full, but I'm on the stand by list in case anyone does not take their Max22 conversion kit. So all of you people who are tired of waiting, just email Jackie and tell her to drop you off the list. :)

Yeah, dang, i hadn't heard back either and was afraid this was the case.

I REALLY would prefer to buy new from Lage directly as opposed to used from someone else.

That would be my second choice. My first choice would be to buy a complete dedicated .22 upper from someone who had it tuned and treaded for a suppressor.

If it works in your lower buying a second .22 kit is sure to be a decent investment. If you need it you've got it and if you don't I can't imagine it being worth less 15 years from now. What specialty part is? From what I have seen even the SABRE uppers haven't really gone down in value despite being eclipsed by much better options.
