Did anyone catch the auction close price on the m11a1 briefcase gun on gun broker? The last I saw it was at 10k

13,126$ wow. Operational brief cases are cool but I don’t think I could trust an electronic one. Any glitch could cause that gun to fire unexpectedly at the range. I would rather have had a mechanical operational briefcase

I agree — I’m very comfortable with the relative safety of mechanical ops briefcases, and they’re a lot of fun to shoot and demo.

It's very well done, but they basically paid a $6000 premium for the case. Two grand I can see. $6k is steep for what's basically a range toy.

The laser is awesome, but if youre going electronic actuators, I want the ability to charge the bolt handle and operate the safety as well.

No way in hell I'm walking around on an open bolt/full mag with a battery powered device.

This is one of the stupidest sales I have ever seen. DAW was an SOT/gunsmith in Missouri who operated under the name Ozark Armory and manufactured suppressors in addition to other work. As I recollect, he retired a few years ago. I seriously doubt that a "three digit agency" contracted with a rural Missouri SOT to build cases. Especially considering they could have bought an off the shelf system from HK. In addition, those exposed switches are hardly "covert".

Concorde is our expert on these things and I agree a mechanical connection is far superior. I recently built my own covert case for a full size Uzi and my grand total of costs was $12. That consists of a $2 attache from a junk auction, $4 for an aluminum bar, and $9 for material from Hobby Lobby. The rest was left over lumber and screws I had in my shop and a quick 3d print off the kids printer. I promise I'll show the case eventually but after I finished the technical part and tested it, I haven't found the motivation for the "make it pretty" part of the construction.

Of more concern is the zero-feedback bidder who shilled the item up. Look at bid history. This "person" joined GunBroker on 11/17, and bid the item up to ten grand.

As a buyer, I would never continue to bid on an item with a NR bidder present. Stinks of a shill.

Exactly. And if they had accidentally won it would have been miraculously relisted.
