Well, I was going to, but when I found out he was banned on subguns, and then got a few E-mails about him. I decided to buy an upper from Stony Creek instead. I would be cautious about dealing with him, you might want to do a search in the Board of Inquiry Archives on Subguns first. Too bad really he made some nice stuff.

Erik Nolan the owner of Autowerkes is a crook. Do not send him any money because you'll never see it again.

About a year ago, he dropped off the face of the earth still owing a lot of folks merchandise. They never got it. He will not answer his phone, e-mails or written letters (I've tried all three). There is presently a law suit filed against him.

He apparently did this some time before, but reappeared with some story about being hospitalized with a life threatening disease. He made good to all he'd shorted and began selling uppers again. I figured why not give the guy a second chance, so I bought one for $410. What I got was a defective piece of crap that does not work. When he sold it to me he reassured me that if I didn't like it, he'd refund my money. Then came the sad stories that his girlfriend got gang raped, his computer crashed, ....

Looking back on it, I think he knew this thing was defective when he sold it to me. He told me it was an upper made for a person who backed out on the deal. Given that he always demanded money up front for anything, I now think it was returned by someone else and he knew good and damn well that it wouldn't work.

Someone here on this board has offered to help me try to part it out and get some of my money back.

If you want a decent upper that works well, the 10" that RPB sells for $200 is a good deal. Its got a scope mount, foregrip and threaded barrel with compensator. The one I wish I'd have got was the Lage upper. Kinda pricey, but very nice looking. He's coming out with version 2 soon. Unfortunately, after shelling out $410 for an upper that didn't work, I couldn't justify another $500 for the Lage upper.

Thank you all for the info. I still never heard back from him anyways, but if I do, I am definately not going to deal with him.
