I have a chance to buy a Vollmer HKMP5 with Fleming sear in an ambi/ Navy SEF lower pack with 4 german mags for 20.5K shipped. I cannot help but be a bit hesitant when it comes to buying this gun because I am going to borroow some to buy because of other recent gun purchases. Anyone else feel this way?

Go for it. I still check sale boards daily for in state transfers for MG, specifically a M3 grease gun or M2 carbine.

To give you some peace of mind, I suggest you put a clause in the contract's terms and conditions that your payment is fully refundable if transfer is not approved. That covers you if there is an issue with the way the gun is registered or if the laws change. If the seller says no, then walk away.

Just sent two SBR Form 1 yesterday so I can put detachable stocks on Glocks. I also have two suppressors on a back order build list.

Good luck

Well, it depends. If you are buying it as an investment, I would tell you not to do it. If you are buying it because you like it and want it, then I don't see any issue. I would as the above poster stipulate that if the transfer is not approved you get a full refund. This would keep them from being in the possession of something they do not own and can not transfer.

I appreciate all of your opinions. I've had quite a few SMG's and Mg's in my time and have just started getting some back after selling some in 08 due to sickness. I am not worried about the transfer going through as I have 4 subguns & several suppressors now. My concern was what the hell our country or president might do by executive order. Not on SMG;s or Mg's but with magazines or online sales of ammo in bulk. It is the first time I have thought seriously about waiting. I never buy NFA as an investment. never buy more than you can afford to lose. I wanted to see if anyone else felt uneasy about all the B.S. being brought up trying to put all these new laws into affect. thanks for your input

If borrowing money and it the MP5 and sear are not primary interests then would probably pass.

If a primary interest and your were in debt and/or more concerned for your income stream than everyone is now days, would still pass.

Bottom line your call and I passed on several sears for under a grand and an uncut Marmmont (sp?) M60 for $3,500 for similar reasoning ;-)

All over now. Gun is in transfer. I had just bought M11/9, lage 22 it, max-11 & Max-31 uppers with alot of drums, coffin mags, ETC,M10 with Max-10 upper, S&W76, The Vollmer MP5, Group Industries uzi and a K host since last July or August not counting all the semiauto's. My problem is too many toy's. A Harley, A 24foot Suntracker party barge, a 1969 SS396 Camaro I restored and all of my gun's. Point is I have sufficient income tax free each month from VA & SS. Main thing that was going through my mind at the time that gave me a freakin migraine was all the gun B.S started by our Obama the Supposedly King of the U.S and what might happen to gun or mags?? Thanks for the reply abut I just don't think about it anymore. I've been stock piling on all the accessories and ammo i can. I've never been short in the ammo department before but I'm in even better shape now. Kudo's

In that case sounds like was a good buy and the next threads will be what other HK host guns to get ;-).

Would look at a "HK"53 built by one of the current crop of better clone builders, even if you already have a M16 and then a clone belt fed 21e/23e ... http://www.556beltfed.com for the MM23eK I am playing with (I am the old guy in the second video).

I just placed an order with http://www.kellyenterprises.net/ for one of their HKVKE53's with a 1X7 RCM barrel. Thinking about a 91K & a 53K. Check out some of their gun's. i talked to the guy and he says the guy's do not get paid hourly to build these guns but by contract. If they get a gun back for work then they have to work on that gun first. I placed this order before i got your reply but have not sent the check yet. Here is the link to the 53.

Friends and I have had the best luck with some of the custom or semi custom guns from Michael's Machines, Dakota Tactical and PCS (aka Gillebear), will be interesting on how these "Vector" guns that have been re-built work out for you. I have one of Mike's MM53P with a RCM barrel for the faster twist than the Malaysian 33 barrel that was in the gun.

Looked at a G3K (12.5 inch barrel ?) for a sear host and semi shooter last year, about the time the PTR receivers dried up (they came back in stock just before the crazy times), but have not fired one with a sear (the HK91 is not bad with a muzzle brake and heavy buffer and even better off a bipod).

Myself have not been sold on the "HK"53K, almost too much of a good thing (like a "HK"51) and not sure is enough smaller to really matter (less recoil due to less velocity) but I am sure it is a good show gun when shooting at a match, just like the "HK"51 ....

Also been looking at a "HK"11K as with two barrels (one could be 16") one could have an accurate rifle (i.e. with rail on top for a scope) and a second short barrel for full auto shooting with the sear gun.

Take Care

I going to check with MM & DT before sending check. As for Gillebear I spoke to him a few days on HKPRO ago and he said the kits for 53's were very high but did not say if he had any but the labor was around $750 ish. So I went looking at these guys'. I've had the 91 with bipod, heavy buffer and Stock,51,53,V53's, V89K, CA89(MP5) pistol as sear host's in the past. I like the 51 & 53K version's as for a flame thrower but have never personally fired the 51 or 53K versions. I ordered one V53 that was so out of spec they beat the endcap on the receiver. i called Ralph back then and they sent a replacement back out and picked that screwed up one up. the V51 and the V53's I've had i had good luck with them. they were a hit & miss kiinda deal? Thanks for your input.

Lost track but looks like you might have gotten two sears and MP5s? In which case one should be come a MP5K-PDW and the second sear moved to full time 5.56 .... LOL!

I picked up a MM53 with a RCM barrel for near two grand nearly two years ago, that shoots nice and the receiver fits a lot nicer than the Vector ;-). I like the full size MP5, the MP5K-PDW, the "HK"33K (friend has it now as was not being used with the MM23eK as much) and the "HK"53 (really a must have with the MP5 ;-) along with something in 308, be that a G3K, HK91 or the "HK"11 (quick change barrel and $4K now days for one from MM). Count the "HK"51 ane "HK"53K more as subguns to go with the MP5 40 or 10mm .....

The MM11 or MM13 are a third of the cost of the belt fed guns and really make an interesting off hand option that also works as a near light machinegun with a drum mag. Plus if you have a second barrel can use one for heavy full auto and keep the second for a more accurate rifle, but I am repeating myself mostly since that is what I am looking at currently, just would like shooting one off hand to see how the weight is (the MM23eK holds nice off hand but is none too light for an old guy like me ;-).

Was looking at a G3K and then a MM11K to go with my MM23eK. Other option is replace the G33K (friend go) and the HK93 with a MM13K, so would have the MM53, MM13K and MM23eK ... but this is long term thoughts and for now get buy fine with the MM53, HK93 and MM23eK ;-).

No, I do not have two sears and MP5's at this time. I did before but sold all in Spt. 2008 due to cancer. Now that I've beat it so far and just lost a kidney i bought the Vollmer HKMP5 with a Fleming sear. Sorry for not taking the time to expain into detail. Thanks for your replies.

Enjoy discussing how to spend your money, in particular since you have been through this before. Kinda hard to beat a MP5 and "HK"53 combo for just every day shooting. One of the guys was big into HKs and Browning belt feds in the '90s but nothing has really been out for ten plus years except for every year or two he takes out the MP5 and one of the HK53 to shoot ....

My condolence on the fight with cancer, looking like you have been ahead for nearly five years.

I just bought a pre-May HK33 and am having inbuilt into a 13 from Michaels Machines. Had one some years back and sold it to Kent Lomont (RIP my friend). Was kicking around getting a sear, but just couldn't bring myself to dropping 17-19k plus the host gun(s). Also stocked up on C-Mags...12, and with ammo costing what it is now, belt fed is OUT!!!!...my pockets aren't that deep.

I have a pre-May Uzi and an M-11 with all the Lage goodies on order. A few posties to play with to. If things get REAL boring, then I take out the 40mm with the standalone mount.....BLOOP!!!

Had a chance to buy a pre-May M-16 A2 (yes, this correct). Ended up selling for 9950.00. With that and a Shrike, I'd be into it for 15-16k....oh we'll.
