Anyone like mini Uzi better than full size

So I'm looking to trade my colt m16 bc need the cash but still want to at least get an Uzi out of it (convinced my wife that it will be a better investment in the long run than just selling the M16 outright)

So I've been researching uzi's before I put it up for sale and saw a few vector mini uzi's that I like.

Question is this will be my only Uzi so should I just get the full size for shoot ability or get the mini bc it's cool and will probably be just as fun to shoot.

Both are great guns and provide a lot of shooting enjoyment. The full size UZI is much more versatile. It shoots slow enough to comfortably use it in matches, but you can easily speed up the ROF for fun. Parts are plentiful and fairly cheap. The Mini UZI is sexier and has a great size/weight. It's fun to do fast mag dumps with it, but it's not a good match gun if you have any interest in that. Some of the parts are the same as the full size UZI but the parts that are specific to the Mini UZI are harder to find. I have both and the Mini UZI spends most of its time in the safe.

Forgot to mention also getting another m11/9 with Lage upper and .22 kit. I had one before and sold it but getting another bc realized I miss shooting it.

Probably the m11 will get most shooting time.

Will the mini be a better investmest bc of rarity?

Gents,

I find that the Mini really shines in the semi-auto mode. Cyclic rate on FA is fine for serious stuff, but for fun the semi mode is where it's at. I much prefer the Full size Uzi for general purpose stuff.
Have to agree with Rover Dave on that one...

After five drive by shootings the novelty tends to wears off and you will regret not opting for the full size.

I bought the full size in '04. I added the Mini in '06. I sold the full size in '08. I love the Mini.
The Barrel Xchange HEAVY Mini bolt makes a BIG difference.

Dave is right (as usual) about the versatility of the full size vs Mini... but the Mini is just so damn cool.

Dave, you are getting another M/11? (I just bought your 11 mags shipped.) I can only say that I own a full size Uzi. I love it. Though I have never shot a mini before. If I want to shoot fast. I put the stock upper on the M/11. I haven't tried the mags yet. But they look fine and arrived in great shape.

I don't even know what I do or don't want anymore haha. Had an M11 - sold it and associated parts for the M16, now selling the M16 bc I'm building a house which costs more than I expexted (thanks to my wife and her kitchen) but only way I agreed to sellin m16 was to get an Uzi and now I realized I shoukdnt have sold the m11 after all.

At least it keeps me busy haha

My son would like that idea. Though I have several ar-15's, and if I really need to go full auto with a m-16. A good friend of mine has one. But thanks for the offer. Sad to say that I work too much and have other responsibilities that I don't shoot any of my guns that much. Though the mags that you sold to me was too good of an offer to pass up. Thank you for that. I left you positive feedback.

I've had both and went to the mini as my only F/A Uzi (still have a semi carbine SBR). The full size was great at first (actually my first F/A) but after awhile, I just kept grabbing the mini when I went to shoot and the full size kind of gathered dust. I liked the challenge of learning how to run the gun, tighten the groups, squeeze out tight 3-5 round bursts at 15-25 yards. Takes time, more of a challenge, totally worth it - to me. Today, I honestly shoot the Mini F/A as well as my MP5 or SD and far better than I did the full size.

I will say that if you host shoots with friends/guests and like to let them try their hand at F/A, the Mini would be the last gun in my class 3 collection I'd let them handle. The full size was better for that - my MP5 SD is ideal.

Hard choice - sounds like it really varies by person. Good luck - on the sale, the buy, the build - man I'm worn out just thinking about what you've got going on. Best.

I think the mini is the best of the bunch. Even though I have a micro in Israel that is the most accurate Uzi I have ever fired.

Well even with all the advantages of the full size I still think I like the mini better and even the wife said it looked "cooler" mad said get that one, so now it's just finding someone that want to trade .. Z06?..

If not I guess I'll have to sell and then buy something before my wife changes her mind

Thanks for the offer davecz, I already have a "little friend" for the Mini.

And nice to see yoni posting. I listen every Sunday to you and Wm. Wolf on MERF.

I like and shoot my mini more. It is very fast and you need to watch who you let shoot it, especially indoors. It is not as accurate but if you put a vertical fore grip and suppressor it is stupid fast and pretty accurate. In stock setup.... Not so much. The crazy speed intrigued me so much I just got a micro Uzi. Still waiting on the form 4 for that one.

Keep your M-16 and buy a full sized Uzi. I have both and given a choice to sell one I would sell the Mini. M-16s will always be popular and go up as much as an Uzi will, maybe more. I do love both my Uzis.
