I purchased these mags about 20 years ago. I had a MAC at the time, which I sold a long time ago. Are these MAC magazines? Any idea of the maker?

They appear to be PAM-2 magazines. Without a picture of the spine up higher, can't see if they they were modified for M11 use. There would be a notch in the rear. The ones I've laid hands on that were, had Recon Ordinance stamped on them.

I agree those are PAM2 mags.

I have some marked similar.
if you want to sell them cheap send me a message. I take the heavy duty springs out and use them in newer Zmags that have weaker springs.

I paid $20 each for mine maybe 3 years ago.

Z-mags are $35ea so that’s your competition.

You have PAM-2 mags that have been altered to be used in the AR15-9mm. Note that the upper sleeve has been totally ground off on one side to make the mag narrow enough to fit in the AR magwell. If they were altered for use in the 9mm MAC, both side of the sleeve would have been ground to taper them towards the front to approximate the trapezoidal shape of the original MAC 9mm magazines. They also have a notch in the side to engage the AR-15 style mag catch.

I have no idea what they may be worth. There is no shortage of better mags for the AR in 9mm and being single-feed mags, they are a PITA to load. I have a half dozen of them collecting dust dating back to the magazine ban days, when they had some value as "pre-ban" magazines, but those days are long gone.

Thanks for clearing this up. I have encountered a number of these Pam-2 mags that are modified this way and could not figure out what they were for.

The 10-year ordeal of the old federal assault weapon ban seems so long ago that it's easy to forget what a pain in the poop it was. The only "high capacity" magazines you could buy were those that were made "pre-ban" so all sorts of oddball foreign magazines like the PAM-2 mags here were scooped up and imported, then modified to fit guns in common use here. We bought them, because an oddball mag is still better than no mag. We have to work hard to remember that the Democrats lost control of BOTH houses of congress in the election following the passage of the AWB and it was one of the major factors in their loss. Note that Washington has blustered about firearms bans since then, but nobody has actually pushed one. They only pass in blue states where the politicians pushing them won't suffer for it.

The Assault Weapon and High Capacity Magazine Ban of 1994-2004 aspect of this discussion reminds me of a paraphrase of the quote that is attributed to the late President Abraham Lincoln, "Any magazine is a MAC 10 magazine, if you're brave enough".
