It is a very quiet and efficient suppressor. I have one made by Southern Tool, Machine and Die (Copy of the original SG9 originally developed by Dr. Dater). It is an integral suppressor with a ported barrel and collar/sleeve. The suppressor is tunable for differnt types of ammo. Currently unavailable and were made in special runs/small batches from time to time. Last batch was made by AWC or Gemtech in about 05-07? and were sold by LMO. J. Burgess makes/made a version of the SG9.

Phil Dater wrote a chapter on them for the S&W 76 book.

All over the place!
I have one of the integral Burgess suppressors for my MK-760. The first stage has brass boot eyelets around the ported section of the barrel. The second stage has washers welded to a pair of rails. It’s actually pretty quiet and you don’t have to use subsonic ammo.
