Got mine, Looks great!I put it in my pre-sample mini, and noticed that semi doesnt function (clearance issue I think, but havent had time to look), but on full auto seemed to hand cycle correctly. It will make it through most of a mag, and stoppages seem to occurr due to little tiny (fingernail size) half moons of shaven lead.

Sounds like the same problem Mr. Burns had. He also has a dealer sample gun.

I got mine to work about 90% with different ammo. Seems that the mags do not like to feed hollow point ammo because of the shorter length. Best results were from Remington Golden Bullet 100 round packs, and CCI Min mag round nose. Federal bulk pack runs about 40% reliability. With the Remy or CCI the only faliures I experienced were faliure to eject. The empty would just fall into the action. I also had a few double feeds.

Been checking some dimensions today and here's what I found.

The BDM mags sit approx 0.045" higher than the Vector mags. That is what is causing the bolt to hit the rear of the mag. It is also why the 9mm ejector is interferring with the rounds as they feed.

If you have a vector mag and the BDM, check them in your gun. You will see the vector mag stops flush with the top of the 9mm ejector and the BDM pushes past it.

I am waiting to hear back from BDM about this.

The recoils spring is rated 9-1/2 lbs, this may be a partial cause with the semi function issues (too much drag from the sear popping back up).
Try the standard 9mm spring and let me know if there is any difference.

Now for my own rant of sorts.
The bolts are correctly spec'd. The exterior dimensions mirror a factory bolt. The center line for the bolt face and extractor assy is aligned perfectly with the barrel. You will never have the extractor hit the barrel.

I will modify several of the BDM mags so they sit lower where they should be and send them out to people for proof testing.

As I said, I belive your kits are perfect. I'm anxious to see you mods to the BDM mags. I'm no weapons malfunction expert, but I am a betting man, and I have been betting on the mags all along.

No, mine wont function in semi because the sear wont release it from the cocked position. On full the sear drops lower , allowing the bolt to cycle. NIB gun when I got it, Factory bolt works fine. Works OK with BDM mags (shaves lead a little) Works great with original GI .22 mags.

If you could. Use a dial caliper and give me a measurement on the bolt from the bottom of the steel insert for the sear to the top of the bolt. I'll check the others I have in stock

Mr Burns and Mike26038

Sending you guys a modified mag each to check out. Mag catch has been lowered for clearance. Let me know directly when you get them and try it.

Would send 1 to you tonytdmd but not sure who you are

Actually, to lower the mag, you have to open the mag catch notch 0.040" at the top end.

I'll post some pics later to show what is happening.

I have talked with BDM and we'll do this first. I'll explain it all after we get things corrected.

If you requested a threaded barrel, I held those back. The guy is threading them this week. Should have them back this weekend and will ship then. Also is helping let me get last minute tweeks in.

So I got home, took everything apart and measured. Everything is dead nuts on with my factory uzi bolt (within .002) So I started troubleshooting. The only difference I found was that the front of the feet on the .22 bolt were slightly more squared than the factory bolt, so I rounded off the steel foot slightly (broke the edge and polished) Still a no go on semi, I then did the same on the aluminum foot, and bingo! Semi auto works. (with the topcover off you could see that the sear wasnt fully disengaging on semi. Apparently on factory guns the sear drags slightly on the bottom of the bolt in semi, possibly a factory ploy to assure reliable semi function with the higher bolt velocities of the mini? Anyway Vids to follow.

Excecllent, I really appreciate that info. I would suspect that after some usage the alum side would wear down a bit, but in the mean time, I will take measures to adjust the remaining bolts.

What recoil spring were you using?
