Is anyone making an adapter to go from the Uzi bayonet lug to a picatinny rail like the old CAA TUZ-A1?
TIA!

I was able to find one here. This company is not friendly and hard to communicate with.

https://www.luxguns.com/en/uzi-gali...2-single-picatinny-rail-for-uzi-mini-uzi.html

They have a few left. I cannot find any in the US. I also found 9 mini 3" IMI/IWI made rails and 10 full size Uzi rails in Israel just ordered 1. You have to be a good internet sleuth to find any parts or get lucky with the boards or with gunbroker. I ordered the top rail from the source found and luckily someone here sold me the bayonet rail adapter so you can ask if if anyone has one for sell. I am asking around with people that have a metal 3D printer to get these duplicated so can sell in small lots at a fair price. Right now expect to pay $75 to $100 for this if you can find one
in the US.

They are very hard to find, the 2 companies that used to make them don't anymore, I had one from each but 2 guys on the forums here grabbed them up. Check Ebay and Gunbroker once in a while something may show up.

Are these steel or aluminum? Looks extremely simple to make, assuming the T-slot for the bayo lug is a standard size with an available cutter. Some tall Picatinny rail blank stock, a couple cuts on the mill, and drill and tap a hole for a setscrew.

I knew someone in EU who took the order and reshipped it to me. This is the only way to deal with them and they have a bad attitude towards
people in the US...... but if you know someone in the EU and you are willing to do some pain and suffering with them, they have 9 parts left.
They also do not like answering email from people in the US. So if you have a friend in Europe who will do this. These people have maybe the
last 9 in company stocked bayonet adapters in the world. And YES, this part should be extremely simple to make on a metal 3D printer.

I don't have the dimensions but just checked and my Vector bayonet lug rail will not fit my AR bayonet lug. AR lug is too "tall"... Guess the Botach one wont work then...

"Too tall" on the adapter itself might not be a deal breaker, slide a piece of shim stock under the lug and it may fit just fine. I would think these are an install and leave it item, not something you would be taking on and off regularly.

Actually you may be right. A shim on the bottom would also prevent set screw damage to the bottom of the lug.

Wonder if something like this would work
https://botach.com/kley-zion-bayonet-lug-mount/

It works very well.
I installed one on my GI/Vector RR.
Not a problem at all, in fact that is how I mount my light to the uzi, using a Viking Tactics off-set mount on the added rail.
It worked so well, I got one a teammate and his Uzi.
He mounted it without a problem.

It is also how I added a light to one of my ARs.

Ok!
I purchased one of the Botach Bayonet lug to picatinny adapters for the m16.
I took all of the measurements and compared them to my BWE bayonet lug for my micro. All you have to do to make the Botach work is mill .040-.045 off of the top of the adapter to make it fit the UZI lug.
If you don't have a mill, you could use a belt sander!
Hope this helps.
Bill
