I used to be somewhat active on this site, but haven't for quite a while. At the time, Dave guided me through the purchase of an Uzi Carbine, and I had a lot of fun with it, but I haven't shot it in several years. I'm thinking of selling it, but not sure where the market is right now. I've heard it's kind of slow. I've got a ton of extras. Any idea of what the package price might be?

Uzi carbine (9mm, registered for .45ACP/22LR) with Aimpoint scope
Wood stock
Cleaning kit
(3) Metal stocks
(4) Canvas mag holders
(1) Extra barrel with 3 lug attachment for suppressor
(4) Top Plates
(9) 32 round mags
(22) 25 round mags
(2) Lula Loaders
(2) Owner’s manual

Registered receiver Uzi's start around the $20K range right now, from what I've seen online, and are listed upwards from there. Registered bolt guns are theoretically valued slightly less but I don't expect it would actually make much difference between the two in sale prices in the current market. Hard to price a package, to me, since some items might have more or less value to different buyers (some guys just want to dump ammo fast, some collectors are looking for the specific stuff that scratches their itch, etc.) Nice to have lots of mags, and the extra barrel!

People are asking 20k but I'm not sure how many are actually selling for that I would guess 15k-18k is probably more realistic of what can be had right now. Market is flat to slightly deflated and FRT probably are not turning that around anytime soon. The accessories really add no value to a gun so you are better off selling that seperately to maximize your profit.

Best thing to do is contact Midwest or Ruben and see what they are paying which is usually 90% of market. They have a better feel for what things are actually selling for and are both very fair payers.

I always get lowballed when I try to sell any gun to any dealer. I don't even bother with them anymore, everything goes right on gunbroker.

Ruben offered me somewhere around 60% of what my Colt M16A1 was worth.

I have not seen any $15k UZIs in a long time.

OP, the thing to do is put all that stuff on gunbroker separately.

Group stuff some just to make it more convenient. Maybe sell the mags 5 at a time.

I would sell the UZI on gunbroker. Gunbroker is not the website to sell a high end collectable to the private jet crowd, but you certainly can sell a $20k UZI on there.

The market is slow, but not "soft." There is no reason to sell the gun at a discount.

Take bright clear pictures so the buyer can see what he is getting, and you'll get full price for everything.

Sure it might get 19 or 20 on gunbroker but you have 1000 fees and if its not on a form 3 at a dealer it probably wont get that.

Secondly if you sell it outright for 20k what will it take to sell? 6 months or 12 months etc. If you are not a dealer on a form 3 in my opinion you are not going to get anywhere near top dollar. I know i wont take the risk of a private sale on a form 4 for the same price I can get a dealer with a form 3 gun.

You may consider consigning with a licensed dealer. I provide the service for 10% net to me, but I’d hope that you could find a reputable dealer closer to you as this would save you one shipping fee and you could meet with the dealer in person throughout the process. Be aware that you need to have an approved form4 before you allow the dealer to take possession of the firearm as the ATF sees this as a transfer in itself. After that, the only additional transfer tax should be the buyer’s responsibility. This absolutely cost’s more than selling it yourself but the form3 is valuable to a lot of buyers and the dealer should work hard to earn his commission.

If you go this route, make sure that you find a dealer that’s willing to:
1. Conduct a professional assessment of the mg and correct issues if needed.
2. Take quality pictures
3. Make a video showing a function test
4. This company must be eager to take an active role in selling the firearm and not just throw it on GB.

Selling directly to the dealer is gonna be a quick way to get paid, but you’re gonna surrender a lot more than 10% because there’s just too much risk and upfront cost for that little of a return on investment.

I personally would never buy or sell a MG (or other high value firearm) through GunBroker as sales tax (9.6% for me) that the customer pays, can figure significantly, along with the 1% "buyer's fee"...both of which are collected (along with the seller's fee) from the seller and not small money if the buyer decides to back out and you (the seller) have to dispute or try to claw that money back from GB.

So if I sell a $20k Uzi on GB to someone (in a my or other high sales tax state), the following fees (above the sell price) would be invoiced...not including shipping or the small listing fee.
Seller: $758.00
Buyer: $1920.00 sales tax + $200.00 "buyer's fee"

*Note - GB calculates sales tax on the total amount billed to the customer to include shipping and the "buyer's fee."

IMO, it's much easier (and certainly cheaper) to list on Sturmgewehr, the sale board over on Snugbus.com or dedicated boards such as here, UT, HKPro or even 1919a4.com.

Good luck on your sale.

Thanks for all the input. I thought the package deal would be great, one shipping, but I may separate.

You could run your ad for X amount as a package.

And X amount for just the gun with buyer getting 1st choice of items from package at what ever market value of that item is.

So anyone who buys the gun would pay the same ammount for a mag or whatever as you would charge once you started parting out the extras.
That would allow the buyer to get stuff with the gun and skip stuff they might already have or not want.
It keep the flippers from robbing you blind.
And allows you to maximize profit with some extra work.

When I bought my mini I purchased from a freind.
He offered it to me 1st a set price.
Reason being he knew I wouldn't be calling every day asking where my gun was after he was paid like some 1st time buyers do ( I once waited 21 months for a can )
The price was the price and he knew I wouldn't lowball that offer.

Navgunner @10% would be a decent deal if you wanted it done by a dealer with max profit.
He's honest and really a pleasant guy to deal with from my exp. with him.
It also depends on how close to him you are,or if you are willing to do the mail/transfer to him and wait for him to get the ad made up like he described.
If I were looking for a pretty smooth transaction I'd look to a private local sale. Then handle it myself.
For a dealer Navgunner will take the least while trying to get you the most.
