If your a machinegunner get something that can hold up in full auto like the octane or multimount. I think money is best served on cans that can shoot multiple calibers like the tirant 45 or octane 45. More versatile and not audibly that different than their 9mm counterparts. Good luck!
I chose Octane over the Tirant because the baffles keep gunk contained within and away from the tube.
Plus has stainless steel baffles instead of aluminum. I can use the "dip" cleaning method.
That being said the 1st baffle is getting some erosion from countless full auto mag dumps. Not sure how aluminum would've held up.
While I do understand why one asks such questions (I have asked similar), I think you're gonna find that different brands/models have their fans.Kinda like cars. Or favorite caliber for hunting deer.
At least until Coffeefreak either starts manufacturing (or licenses to a manufacturer) his design. Then all bets are off!
I have a Liberty Mystic. It is great on an pistol caliber SBR or even title I 5.56 AR, but is kinda heavy for a pistol. The larger subgun cans are better on a subgun at controlling gas, but obviously are less suited to a pistol.
I took advice and a weeks worth of web research when deciding. I decided to get a .45 can to cover all pistol calipers. Do the research. The difference in decibels using a 9mm can vs a .45 can is 1-2 decibels. I bought the can for my uzi and use it on my .45 pistols. I no longer buy a handgun that doesn't have a threaded barrel. I have 5 guns/uppers that can use my octane 45. Had I bought a dedicated 9mm can for my uzi I would only have 2 guns to use it on.
