I foolishly lost my red dot sight for my top cover a few years ago and just got around to thinking about getting a new one. Which ones do y'all like?

It will be going on a full auto registered reciever.

Thanks and merry Christmas

I use the Docter Optic on an elevated top cover rail rugged and won't lose zero. It's going to be based on what cheek weld you like I don't care for the low mount co-witness setup. Just a matter of preference. I have seen many setups with Eotechs which give you more optic picture selections as well.

I have run the Burris FastFire and the Bushnell TRS 25 on the Mini. I shoot a bit better with the TRS.

Red Dot

On my Uzi, I had Aim Point Red Dot T1 zeroed on a top cover for 9mm, I had a second top cover with a Bushnell TRS25 zeroed for the 22 Kit. When I got my Lage MAX 31, I moved the Aim Point to Max31 and used only the Bushnell on the Uzi. The TRS 25 worked so well that I recently ordered two more for other guns. Unfortunately they changed the design of the new ones. When I got the new ones I thought at they might be defective, I noticed what looked like big glob of uneven glue on the inside. But, that is how they are made now. I kept them, but will not buy anymore. The Aim Point T1 is the best, but something like the Bushnell is great for the price.

I run a Primary Arms Micro Dot. Had it for about 4-5 years now with no issues.

I just picked up a vortex venom and a vortex razor. One will go on my turkey gun and the other on my Uzi.

Do any of you spend time tightening your top cover to the gun when using a red dot on it? I think the reason I took mine off was because the site was moving around on full auto.

Yes, a little work with a rubber mallet and they fit nicely.

I hate to threadjack, but who did the receiver/bolt work on your mini? I have thought about countouring the receiver on my group in a similar fashion just to keep the spent cartridges from hanging up between bolt and frame at that point where you have it recessed.

Sold the 2 I had to members here last month, they were at least 5 years old, both manufacturers that made them have discontinued them.

I got one on my Micro. Added a Streamlight TLR8 with green laser. Sourced from TDI for Mini Uzi and make a minor mod to fit in the slide
