Blackdog HK G3 / HK 91 22LR magazine conversion

K2’s new mags (which I look forward to trying) reminded me of the two BD HK 22lr mags that I bought a long time ago. They never worked right so they got put on the shelf.

I then thought about how they use a BD Uzi magazine and perhaps they’d actually work if I replaced the BD mag with a metal Vector 22lr mag.

It looks like it’ll fit after some dremel work on the BD mag holder. It’ll be a week until I can get my HK 22lr kit and gun to see how feasible it looks

Has anyone tried this before? (And before I go crazy with the dremel 🤣)

Have that Black Dog set up too and was more than disappointed. Personally, I wouldn’t even waste my time with that (nothing wrong with trying though).

I don’t have much to lose. The unreliable BD mag/conversions aren’t worth selling.

I’ll probably give it a shot once I get my 22lr kit/guns

I had absolutely no luck with the Black Dog mag/adaptor in my guns.

No luck with swapping in metal uzi 22lr mags. The steel mags are too wide at the top to sit high enough under the 22 bolt/carrier.
