Last night I seen they separated their 1-7 barrels from their 1-12 barrels and changed the price for the 1-7 to $40 and listed they only had 10 instock and about 70 1-12 barrels in stock. This morning I looked and the 1-7 barrels are no longer listed. Like I stated above I placed my order earlier in the day when they were all lumped together and just put it the request spot that I needed 1-7 I sure hope that's what I got. If not would any one be interested in trading 4- 1-12 twist barrels for 2- 1-7cr barrels. I really need them for builds and I hate that I can't even locate a number to speak with customer service and I have to wait to see if they hopefully return my email soon.

I believe these 'hadar like' barrels are for AK style press and pin builds. Set up for a 23mm trunnion.
Hadar rifle receivers are threaded like regular galils.

If anyone has an extra 1-7 or two they're looking to get rid of, please send me a PM.

I'll second RSR.

After he gets his if any one has a 1-7 they'd spare I'm in need aswell. It seems that blackthorne screwed up my order and they are now out.:/

Please pm if RSR gets his and someone else has an extra

Thanks

I have a dozen 1-12 barrels I'm willing to trade, a couple of the 16" 308 IMI barrels, and a Hadar 308 barrel I'm willing to trade for the IMI 1-7 twist barrel as well. Posting the same over in the classifieds...

In retrospect, I'm actually pretty frustrated w/ blackthorne -- for one b/c I purchased so many 5.56 barrels hoping to get a few of the 1-7 (got none w/ that order), and also for them selling teh barrels for so cheap. I suspect based upon the price, a bunch of the buyers purchased them to either 1) hoard or 2) speculate... Either they won't build a galil or are selling for 10x what the person paid for them (like the one I see on gunbroker that was likely from this blackthorne batch). Had blackthorne taken the time to sort and appropriately price, I suspect all or at least more of us planning builds would have been able to acquire what we needed...

Regardless, it is what is. So willing to trade here. And if anyone sees these listed on other boards' marketplaces, please post the links here. Thank you.

Not sure if helps for the source, but one of the two cleaning kits I purchased has a sticker on the top that's marked produced for ("produced for" is in spanish -- "producido para") 38Plus -- and then has a bogota columbia address beneath the larger 38 plus logo.

If you look at the new 5.56 1 in 12 twist barrel ad; they show a picture of a SAR barrel. Did anyone receive one?

Wow, toolman, do you anticipate using all of the 1-7 CR barrels, or are you willing to sell a few? If the latter, I want to buy.

Blackthorne ended up coming through on an order I thought they screwed up on so I have an extra 1-7 223 barrel. I offered on trade to RSR first and if he wants to its his for one of his 308 sar barrels. If not Id be happy to trade someone else it for their 308 sar barrel. Pm me or post and I'll keep you I'm mind if RSR already found one.

Only looking to trade for a 308 sar barrel prefer 16in but poss 15.75"

I bought 2 308 barrels received on 3-11, both are 18.5", 1-12 twist.

So they sent you .308 18.5 inch barrels, which be configured for AR/ARM length builds; instead of the 15.75 SAR ones? Did you pay the 25.00 price for each?

I noticed they don't have their standard .308 barrels listed anymore

1-7 barrels are back in stock at Blackthorne.

Thanks Ugh! Finally got what I was looking for! Woohoo...

Note that there are two options for 1-7.

This one says 17", costs $35, and has 183 units in stock (says unmarked w/ twist rate but 1-7 chrome IMI production): http://blackthorneproducts.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9&products_id=957

Here's the item pic -- looks like the 13" sar barrel in the pic, so who knows what you're getting:

(If 17" rather than 18", it'd make a rather handy barrel for a general purpose AR build... And has to beat a 16" blackthorne 1-9 US made one -- barrels that also cost significantly more at $165. Obviously AR vs SAR depends where the gas block flat is machined...)

This one has no length listed, costs $40, and has 37 units in stock (says 1-7 chrome IMI production): http://blackthorneproducts.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9&products_id=884

Looks like the standard galil profile:

I wonder who is Blackie's source for those barrels? Anyone have a clue?

Not sure if helps for the source, but one of the two cleaning kits I purchased has a sticker on the top that's marked produced for ("produced for" is in spanish -- "producido para") 38Plus -- and then has a bogota columbia address beneath the larger 38 plus logo.

I'll try to get a picture up later this week. * To clarify, the Galil cleaning kits they're selling for $5 in below cost specials -- the metal tool is missing, but otherwise likely a "complete" kit unless I'm forgetting something.

Actually, you can sort of see the logo in their thumbnail for the item:

It would be nice if they got more of those .308 AR/ARM length barrels in.
