You miss my point. Whatever exists between yourself and Ruben, should stay between yourself and Ruben. Period.

You use this site to toot your own horn and take advantage of free advertising.....I get that and I'm a big enough boy to see thru it and take it for what it is. It's when you're tooting your own horn while attempting to stand on the back of one of this hobby's icons that I take exception.

Calling out Ruben and then proceeding to tell (one side of) a story without Ruben's response risks having that finger being pointed right back at you.......in not such a comfortable way.

You asked why the negativity. I answered your question. You didn't answer mine though: what would YOU say about me if I asked you to break your word if you told me you already had a deal agreed to? Is that integrity or lack of integrity? I think we actually might agree on that answe--or at least HOPE we would.

I'll put it this way: I asked Reuben multiple times to sell me a silencer he had on gunbroker with no bids and never gave me the courtesy of declining the offer.

Vahan was in the business for a long time too. You can see where that got him. Your length of time in the business doesn't mean squat as far as I am concerned.

Oh and Reuben's magically inflating and "trend setting" prices are something to behold.

I didn't do a deal with John but he promptly returned my emails and gave me straight answers. Reuben couldn't even muster a slow response. Perhaps I wasn't on Reuben's preferred list of clients.

Reuben isn't an icon. He's clearly a good businessman though.

When I was looking for an M11/9 back in September I contacted Ruben and asked if he had any M11/9's in stock. He had one and the price was a little above market at the time. After a few days of mulling it over I said screw it and told him I would purchase it if it was still available. He said it was so I asked where I should mail payment to and who to make the check out to. I sent that email 3 times and never got a response back. I didn't attempt to haggle off a penny from his asking price so I found it odd that I couldn't get a response back. I called him on the phone after a few days, he answered and said he would call me back. Never received a call back. A month later a found a lnib M11/9 for $1k less from another dealer. Oh well.

I also had trouble with Rueben. I thought we were dealing on an uzi and he never bother to answer emails after he told me to email him. I ended up with david sp. good service. Fair price. At my local dealer awaiting form 4. Weapon as advertised!
