British L7A1 +P++ Ammo

Super hot and not for pistols, unless you want a grenade.
I get between 1400 & 1500 FPS out of my fullsize RR GI/Vector.
Makes the run fast like a buzzgun.:twoguns

At what point is this abusive to one's SMG?:bangound

Looking for knowledgeable opinions or first hand wear and tear experience.

Well, 1400 or 1500 FPS is pretty darned hot for 9mm, considering factory 115 grain stuff is about 1100 FPS, give or take. Frankly, I would not shoot this L7A1 ammo in ANY gun.

I would shoot them out of my semi vector, or some other run of the mill 9mm carbine, but would not risk shooting them out of a registered MG if I owned one.

Its +P+ not +p++.Was contracted from Hirtenberger by the UK for use in the Sterling SMG in arctic conditions to ensure proper function.That being said I bought tons of the stuff back in the day from SOG and shot it in my UZI.Still have some of it left.Dont know if it is abusive or not.Dont use it anymore.

Gun can handle 41AE it can handle hot 9mm.

I've fired 5000+ rounds of Hirtenberger L7A1 through a couple of Uzis and a couple of Ruger pistols with no ill effects. I bought 20+ cases of it back when it was fairly widely avaiable.....it was/is my " rainy day" stash.

I just put six 30rd mags of it through an AR 9mm ( Colt style ) .....it shoots wonderfully!

It is some of the best 9mm to ever be imported and I regret not buying a few pallet loads of it way back when.

I acquired 500 rounds of it, and have shot most of it through my uc9. Shoots great. Even ran a few mags of it through my security 9 pistol. Don't make a habit of it out of my pistol, but for an Uzi it is ok. The brits shot it out of their sterlings.

Bought 5 cases back in the Day at Knob Creek. My Uzi loved it.

It runs so fast in the Uzi though the Israeli surplus makes it run nicely too.

I chronoed some of the Hirt too and recall it broken(nearly?) 1500fps too, 124gr. E- now I wanna go find my notes
