Bullpup shotgun

Went to the SAR show over the weekend and picked up this blast from the past. An old Mossberg 500 bullpup. Don't think they've been made for around 15 years or so.

Needed a good shotgun and this one satisfies my taste for the exotic as well. Also saw an old High Standard semi auto bullpup 12 gauge but that was out of my price range.

Buddy has one he bought at Walmart years ago when they were dirt cheep. I wont even make up a price cause I dont remember.

It is kinda cool but I could never get into it. They are nice though.

Had one and let it get away. Looking for another I can afford. Good guns. I like them.

Bullpup stocks are a bad idea, in general. They mean that you can't fire the gun from the weak side shoulder, and in combat, nobody can tell when that might be necessary. Firing RH, with a longarm, around the left side of cover forces you to expose your entire torso. Switch firing hands, and you only expose your head and shoulder.

Had a couple back in the late 80s/early 90s. One was an 8 shot mossberg and the later was a 6 shot Maverick. They are built like a tank, and kick like a F#$king Mule.....that said, they are neat little shotguns and I wouldn't mind getting one again. They were $300ish back then.
