Question for everybody. Does anyone know where to get a butt stock 'tube' for a Galil? I'm getting ready to send mine to Hillbilly and can't find one anywhere. Some one on here told me what size of carbon fiber tube I could use but I didn't write it down. Thanks in advance, Andy

Do you need the actually tube or the black composite covering over the tube?

Mr. Miller said that when the buttstock gets refinished, many of the tubes will not come off and get destroyed. It's the plastic tubing on the top portion of the buttstock. I tried to rotate mine and it doesn't seem to want to move. I'm getting ready to send it to him to rebuild and refinish.

a little clarification- stock tube is the hollow alum. tubes riveted into the butt.
cheek tube is the plastic slip on tube needed if you plan to refinish and bake on a new finish.
the Izzys. love two part epoxy- they use it on everything they can and getting the cheek tube off usually involves a slitting blade and a flat tip.
normally comes off in chunks.
besides, the plastic can't take 250 deg.- looks like modern art after a while- kinda cool.

I have some in stock if you need one by the way.

Adipose is still alive??

I do need one Jeff. You should get the rifle Tuesday. Still snowing here in Oregon. Hasn't stopped actually. That's an outhouse at a campground, almost buried. Taken out the window of a SnoCat.
