I don't think that C3 made a rapid loader for the Sterling, but does anyone know if one of their loaders can be adapted for the Sterling?

If not, what does the factory loader look like, or, what is a good substitute?

Thanks!
Mario

Your friends and wifes thumbs would make excellent mag loaders.
Seriously, the Sterling mag is the easiest to load that I have ever tried! It would take just as long to fill the speed loader as it does to push the round into the magazine. First to last, there is very little if any felt difference in the insertion force until the mag is full.

Yes, it is very easy to load, but I don't load my mags ahead of time so I like to have the quickest way to load on the range when it comes to "shoot time".

Sterling Mags do not need a loader other than the ones that you have on your two hands. These are the best designed mags in the industry. You would be wasting your money.

Fast... I'm looking for a fast way to load them.

The C3 loading system loads a 30 round mag in about 3 - 4 seconds.

That is why I am asking about loaders, for speed.

Thanks!

16 rounds were loaded.

It's a plastic UZI mag loader Vector sells. I just used a hax saw so the mags fit. Easy for you to make.....

joeblack-
I took my C3 RapidLoader for my Uzi mags and the critical measurements of width and spine placement were good, but the front of the Sterling mags extends beyond the front of the C3RL.

I think that if the front was simply cut away to accommodate the front of the Sterling mag that the C3RL system would work. That is what the people at C3RL did to accommodate my Swedish K mags.

Me thinks that an order for another C3RL Uzi mag loader is in order.

Thanks for the input! I'll let you know how it works out.

30 Rounds in 3 - 4 seconds...

O.K., so I did it and it works.

Sterling_C3_Loader.gif

I started with a C3 Rapid Loader for an UZI and took a big chunk out of the front to accommodate the Sterling mag. I cut it up a little further on the sides to allow for the feed lips and left a little "tab" hanging down in the front to keep the mag centered as the loader works.

Just make sure that you cut away enough so the feed lips are all the way up on the inside and contacting the "floor" of the loader (all the way along their length) or the results will be inconsistant.

Good luck!
