Can a Registered 45 bolt for full size use a Mini as a host?

came across a registered bolt in my neighborhood - It's a 45 married to a semi-host (9mm) full size carbine.

Curious if a full size 45 bolt can be modded to mini-specs and is there such a thing as a mini sized 45? Were there ever 45 mini barrels for semis? Although one could be made from a blank if wanted bad enough.

OR is it even remotely possible to weld re-machine and heat treat a 45 bolt to 9mm?

I'm thinking not likely for any of the above but just checking. 9mm is much cheaper to shoot than 45 and goes into the equation.

Typically you hear of a registered receiver that is married to a slotted bolt and not the other way around. This sounds awful. If it truly is a registered bolt married to a full size carbine you can't move to Mini anyways.

Dave's UZI book shows that IMI made (2) prototype .45 UZI Mini UZI SMG barrels for Action arms. Bear in mind that the dimensions of a Mini semi and SMG barrel in regards to where it interfaces inside the trunion is the SAME. You would just need to turn down the breach to fit in the restrictor ring.

BarrelXchange and some others made .45 Mini parts.

All that said, I don't think any of this makes any sense for this scenario if the bolt is registered and married to a full size.

I agree Amphibian.
I bought a 9mm registered bolt, it's not married to anything as far as I know The tax stamp says Machine Gun Bolt. How is it married? On the tax stamp?
