I like what I see so much that I ordered a CF W9A a few days ago. Not wanting to run it in my M11/9, I now have a SWD M11a1 incoming.

I’d pay a good price for a CF-Wa, 2nd Gen.

1st prototype A Bolt CF-W .380. Only 1 made and VEGAS has it. It is unrecognizable now as it has been scalped again and again.

2nd prototype A bolt. The one I own and tested with the .380 small grip. It's the same as newest generation with the EXP9mm engraving.

If anybody has one of the Cf-Wa, 2nd Gen. bolts that’ll work in a M 11, small magwell, 380 caliber, please PM me.
I’ll pay a premium.
Thank you

I can’t respond to one person, as they have reached their limit in messages, according to the sight.
The sight suggests you must clear some space for further exchange of messages.
Thank you.

It is my understanding that the current production W bolt is the bolt you seek. The first generation of A bolt would only run 9mm in a large frame M11. Tom had the bolt design refined such that the A bolt would run 9mm in the large frame and .380 in the small frame, but the recoil spring needed to be changed, as the 9mm spring would short stroke .380. The same A bolt can also be used, again with different recoil sp,guide rod and ejector, with the M11/NINE. It is my understanding that Practical Solutions will be putting this bolt back into production. Good luck with your search. I miss my friend Tom.

Thank you!

This is quite a board. The help that I have received is remarkable.

Of course, I didn’t know the manufacturer, your friend. I have read many of his posts. It is heartening to see somebody so dedicated in their work and also supportive in their interaction with other people. Those qualities seem to be becoming the exception to the rule.

In my work as a funeral director, I have seen this tragedy unfold over and over in the past two years. Phone calls for assistance, from family members who weren’t allowed to see their loved one for the past month and a half, before they died. Healthy siblings taking care of their sick brother or sister, only to contract the damned disease and die as well. People cut down in the prime of their life, who still plenty of things to do.

There are no right words. I am sorry.

Not many have seen that particular story. Apparently he died of rabies from a bat bite. This is according to some that know the family and reproted the information. The location of the incident, the illness timeline, and the death certainly line up. There was talk at the time that it was a complication from a Vaccine booster, but that appears to have been incorrect.

FWIW, I recently turned down offers of $1.5k and $3k. While it may have been short-sighted because the bolts might be made again, it wasn’t worth the chance.

The only way I would part with my A-Bolts would be if I sold my .380s — and that isn’t happening.

No discussion of the tungsten bolt for the M11-380 is complete without noting the copper-tungsten alloy, one off bolt shown above the production "A" bolt in this photo:

I have 2 cfwa bolts. I know the second one has never been untaped and taken out of the sleeve. The first one (?) I don’t think so. The first one was bought directly from Tom. First one may be before the change to run small mag .380. It looks like the lettering is larger on one but the letters are the same on both. (9MMa) If someone will tell me what to measure I can find out. I will take $3k a piece and will sell both of them.

I guess that I’m dyslexic. Both of mine have the small mm and large A (CF•W 9mmA) so small mag .380 compatible. The second one is from the last run and bought from Tina. I could have sworn it was the other way around but, NOT. They are suppose to be set for m11/9. The 3k is from what MACchat was offered.
Also, one has a dot CF•W 9mmA
The other has a dash CF-W 9mmA
if that matters

Will the 2nd Gen a bolt work with .380, instead of 9mm Luger, in SWD large magwell guns?

Thank you!
