I hope another run of the M11/380 slowfire bolts gets made for future generations. Mine works very well with 380. ROF is 750-850 RPM depending on the ammo with 800ish being the average.

I have been running one in my small magwell gun and it has been working just as good as my factory bolt.

The latest gen CFW-A bolts are great for the small grip 380 guns.

I'm glad to hear all these wonderful testimonials...as one who was in from the beginning, I hope I don't get left out?
I have emailed and PM'd Mr. Vegas...hope to get a reply when he gets freed up?

Last I heard, there was a supply of 30-40 bolts left and that this is the last run. Vegas has been out of town, so they haven't been selling lately. When he's back in town, he will have them for sale, as well as Practical Solutions, you can put your email address on our wait list and you'll be notified when we have them back in stock.

Apparently I was dropped from the original list...?
I have no idea how to get put back on?

You didn't get dropped. Vegas tried to develop a .380 specific bolt. That never came about. As I recall the original CF(W) bolt is the same size as a standard steel bolt. With the right spring rate and ammo that full size tungsten bolt could give a ROF below 500 RPM. The first A1 (.380 size with large magwell) was to shoot 9mm in that size gun. That bolt would not work with .380. Vegas refined the A1 bolt. That one bolt can be setup for .380 and 9mm in an A1 and .380 and 9mm in a M11/NINE. Because of all the applications of the A1 bolt, the full size tungsten bolt has already been discontinued.

It is my understanding that Vegas still has bolts that need to be assembled. Once those are gone, I don't know as there will be any more made. Tungsten is incredibly expensive. There is a huge layout of cash to make a run of bolts. To have tens of thousands of dollars sitting on the shelf and selling one or two per month is pretty tough to ask anyone to do. If you think you might want one, I would buy two. It is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Other than using the new A bolt in the 380 guns, what difference does it make in the M11 nine. I have an unengraved gen 2 bolt a love it.

It's a bit shorter so there's less material. Rate of fire should be a little faster. The big selling point is that you can use the A bolt to shoot 9mm out of your large mag well m11a1 if you swap out the barrel.

Grettings guys. I'm enjoying this summer away from everyone and everything including the brutal heat of the Las Vegas summer. Life is good in the Idaho mountains!

I'm flying back to Las Vegas on Friday, July 26th to assemble and ship a batch of A bolts. If you've recently contacted me regarding the purchase of a bolt for your M-11/9, payment can be mailed now. I expect to begin shipping on Monday, July 29th. Total price is $759.99 delivered via insured USPS Priority Mail. If you're on the Practical Solutions A bolt wait list, they will also have them back in stock next week.

The full size 2nd generation CF-W bolt for the M-11/9 was discontinued late last year in favor of the new A bolt. One bolt offers slow fire options for two different guns with excellent performance in both. Those people who have spent considerable time with both bolts in their M-11/9 prefer the A bolt by a sizable margin and so do I. FWIW, Lage does NOT have any CF-W M-11/9 bolts available. Those bolts have been out of production and out of stock for many months and will no longer be available.

I have continued to maintain the A bolt wait list wait for .380 owners. With a barrel swap, the A bolt is absolutely awesome in 9mm for large magwell M1-A1 owners but in .380 the A bolt is just not reliable in the "large" magwell SWD guns when the ROF is reduced by almost a thousand rounds per minute. As a result, I do not sell the A bolt for .380 use in large magwell guns!

Limited testing by other people has shown the A bolt to be a good performer in small magwell PS and RPB M-11s where the feed lips of the proprietary magazines hold the shorter .380 round long enough for reliable feeding and chamber presentation for proper function. The problem I've faced is not owning a small magwell variant and being able to throughly test the bolt myself. I'm reluctant to sell and ship the A bolt for .380 use until I have actual hands on experience with that platform. That's not to say I don't trust and value other people's opinions, (like Strobro), I honestly do. If anyone wants an A bolt set up for .380 to use in their small magwell gun, I'll sell you one one along with a free extra recoil spring.

Sorry for my extended absence and I hope this answers most of your questions on the A bolt.

I’m hoping to turn the .45 project over to someone else. No idea on when that might be.
I’m still maintaining that wait list.

Are the revised A’s ready to run .380 as long as the recoil spring is cut to 64 coils? Thanks in advance!
