Can it be done?
Say from a kit builders standpoint.

Yes. Kader 9mm conversion was done in the early 80's.

It won't be too long til I finish mine, sten mags & 1/2-28 threaded barrel.

Anyone else?
Pics, info, sources etc ?

SHould I start with a complete m12 in 380 or build from the ground up?

What is required past the obvious(magwell and entrance into the rec, bolt and recoil spring, chamber)?

Thanks again
JAG

oh, anyone have pics of a conversion?

Prototype

You might want to wait & do a ground up build. Then it can look something like this first prototype. This weapon's receiver is 1" shorter than an M11/380 or M12 & the barrel externally is 5/8" shorter.

It shoot's, so parts kits will be available in about a month. These parts are not fully compatible with Leinad M12s. Fully assembled guns will be available in 6-8 weeks.

I think it's cool as heck!

Nice work!
I will keep an eye on its progress.

Question, why cut down a m11/9 instead of using a m12/380 as a base?

I was think that a conversion could be done and aside from a new magwell it would look nearly the same as the standard m12/380 configuration.

Thanks,
JAG
