Just picked up the Evo 9 from my dealer this week. I've shot approximately 120 rounds and reliability is 100%. Point of impact with the suppressor mounted is the same without it. I couldn't be happier with the combination. For a short video of it, click here: http://filebeam.com/afcdb33c79780c839f829572a7d720f6

I am anxious to get mine! I have an AAC Evo 9 sitting with my dealer for my Glock 17. I am curious if you added extra tall sights so you can see over the can.

Thanks. I bought the 6 inch barrel directly from CZ USA ($145.00) and had a friend cut and thread the barrel. The barrel needs fitting, but it is not difficult. I took it real slow with a knife sharpening tool and removed only enough metal to make a solid lock up. It took approximately 3 hours to fit the barrel, but I could do it much quicker since I now know what to look for. It fits better than my stock barrel and no break-in needed (with or without the suppressor). I was kind of surprised by this as I thought a break in would be required.

The sights were pretty easy to replace - no issues whatsoever. It did make me a little nervous while pounding them out and in. In addition, I added a 20lb Browning Hi Power spring (from Wolf) and cut a few coils off of it (the CZ recoil spring is 14lbs from the factory). My thought was to try and minimize ejection port noise with a stronger recoil spring. Not sure if it made a difference since I have not used the factory spring with the suppressor.

ETA: the CZ barrel is .503 in diameter so the suppressor must index on the muzzle (barrel diameter does not allow a shoulder).

In case anyone doesn't know, AAC makes a piston that addresses this problem. Here is a quote from one of their employees discussing a suppressed Browning Hi-Power on silencertalk.com:

"In addition to the threaded barrel, you'll need to get a front indexing 1/2-28 piston for your Evo 9. The BHP barrel is barely 1/2" in diameter, so there is really no way to have a shoulder behind the threads against which the suppressor will stop and align. The solution is one of our 1/2-28 pistons that indexes on the muzzle face. This piston is also necessary for the CZ-75 and FN P9 in 9mm.

ETA: Very cool setup, Dan. My evo is still sitting at my dealer's place waiting for me to send in the paperwork.

Mark McWillis at TROS did a bunch of these awhile ago. He may have a barrel to sell. I just sent him the barrel from mine.

Are you referring to the CZ Kadet in .22 or the CZ75B in 9mm? If you're referring to the 9mm barrels, I didn't know Mark was modifying them. Very interesting and good to know.

Oops. Brain fart on my part. I was referring to the .22 Kadets. You might want to call him on the 9mm to see if he does them. I would think it would take a custom barrel or require a mod to the slide.

I would like a threaded bbl for my cz75 also if you find a source. The czech cz site shows a hot chick with a suppresed 75 but when I ask the US division about a threaded bbl you would think I had ask about clubbing baby seals

Your best option (possibly only option) is to by a 6 inch barrel directly from CZ-USA then have the barrel cut and threaded. You could fit the barrel to the slide yourself or get a gunsmith to do it (it's straight forward, but takes time and attention to detail).
