Drums for the M10 are still available. https://www.doubletapfirearmspa.com/product/brp-stemple-45acp-grease-gun-50-rd-drum/
Haven't purchased a drum from him but did buy a 34k from this dealer and had a great experience. Super nice guy, he does the fab himself. He might do a m11 9mm Suomi drum build if there is interest. I have no financial or other interest in his operation other than that I am always glad to put in a good word for him because he deserves it. I'm talking Lage level customer service and I don't throw that around lightly.

I met a guy at a PA gunshow that was selling these. He had the drum at the show, it was nice, he wanted 500 and I passed. Looks like that’s the price listed on the website but he’s out of stock no longer with us. He also had a bunch of 40rd double stack double feed M10/9 steel mags that he had made from some kind of surplus SMG trapezoid shaped mags. Nice guy. (It was not the guy from the website who apparently died, that guy was in his 80s, this guy wasn’t very old, middle aged). Had a powder springs M10 with some modern optics and stuff on it on a bipod and I think an M11/9 as well. He might be a member on here. I think he had a couple of those drums available.

Edit: turns out the guy from that website was an older fella who passed away earlier this year. I don’t know who I met, but it wasn’t him.

I exchanged emails with Davey in April and again in Mid-May because I was interested in a drum for my BRP U-45. He said was a "full time bee-keeper and a part time gun-dealer". He told me that he could fabricate a drum mag for me but it would have to be after some festivals he was attending and his grandson's graduation. He asked me to check back with him in a few months but I end up having shoulder surgery so I didn't get a chance to follow up. He sent me a video of his U-45 using the drum mag and some pictures of a loaded mag with the cover off. It was really quite nice work and I was ready to fork over the $500 for one. I'm sad to hear that he past away because he was a genuinely nice guy.

I would think with the very limited to non existent availability of a 45acp drum mag, for any grip feed SMG, and with a limited supply of 9mm SMG drums AKA Vector / C&S $500.00 would be very conservative.

Scossum, I think you mixed up Davey with the other gentlemen that passed away. I believe Davey is quite well and very much alive. I have communicated with Davey more recently.

Does this guy have a gun shop in PA? I believe I purchased a desantis leather M11 shoulder holster from him. He responded to an WTB ad of mine if I recall correctly, and he gave me a great deal, knowing full well what those holsters were going for at the time on GB, he really did me a solid, very nice guy. Goes back and forth from PA to FL bee keeping. they sell honey from their bees online, unfortunately I cannot recall the name of their business. Could be someone else, but I recall his name was Dave and he had a gun business in PA and was also a bee keeper, kind of specific… would be damned if it was someone else but anything is possible.

not doubting it was a fair price, I just had no use for it. Just relaying the info, he had drums for sale for $500, same as the website, I passed on it because I did not want or need an M10 .45 drum magazine at the time. $500 is indeed the going rate on this type of limited production handmade niche drum mag. They don’t come up for sale often and they are hard to come by.

Okay then that is very good news. I will drop him a email then. My apologies for any confusion.

Looking at my emails Davey was with Double Tap Firearms out of Milton PA. He also said he owns Hackenberg Apiaries which is his honey business.

I trade emails with Davey today and even a phone call. Turns out he had finished the drum for my U-45 and I'm sending him a check in the mail tomorrow for it. Hopefully I'll have the drum in hand late next week.?
