If you do decide to buy some drums, stay with the 75's. The 100's look cool and all, but are heavy when loaded. I own both 75 and 100rd drums. My 100's dont get used no where near what my 75's do.

A full drum inserted into an AK is pretty heavy to haul around for an extended time. Them, 20rnd Hungarian ones are what I like for pushing around in the woods.

Them drums are for an RPK setting up in an emplacement. Or, when you are stationary in a busy atmosphere.

Yeah I'm sure that is true. Kinda of got the sterotype of the more ammo the better haha. I will look at the 75's ive noticed they are going for around 250 is that about the price they go for? Ive checked out cheaperthandirt and atlantic firearms so far. Ive also looked at gunbroker but Im kinda weird about buying possibly used stuff.

Supposedly the Bulgarian 75rnd copies of the Chinese are pretty good...and cheaper. If anyone else here has any personal experience with them, please chime in, I have only "heard" good things about them. I keep an eye out for the 75rnd Chinese on Gunjoker all the time, $250 is a bit on the high side, $175-$200 is a bit more realistic...they can be had for that price, just gotta keep an eye out ;)

I'm thinking that if you shoot, they will become lighter, I have a pistol in AK47, so already gotten rid of some of the weight, I'm short fat 200 lbs,es, and I tote this for deer andunder, I use my 300WBY Mag pistol in the Competitor for dinosaurs, and 500S&W for protection, You don't have to be big, just ugle, from Andy, take care peoples (LOL)

I bought 2 chinese style drums off of ak47 rifle . com and the one I use works great. Don't knnw where they are from, but it has a circled 10 on it. They were less than 200 when I bought mine

The circle 10 stamp means it was made in Bulgaria. Excellent buy by my friend.

I have 2 Bulgy drums and the third one is being shipped as I type....

They are of EXCELLENT quality. If money were no object, I'd buy up all of these that I could. They are pretty much identical to the Chinese drum but are new production from what I have read. Mine have come in a sealed bag with a generous amount of oil inside and out for obvious reasons.

Go to Gunbroker and do a search for ATI drum. My last purchase was $144 (buy it now) with $11 shipping. That seller is excellent to deal with. You won't be disappointed.

Mine work flawlessly. I will now have one drum per AK...:clap
