I just got my M10 a couple weeks ago and have already put about 3k rounds thru both the stock upper and Lage 10/31.
The stock pin is easy to remove and replace, and the Lage is a much tighter fit.
Would swapping the uppers back and forth, as well as shooting case after case of ammo enlarge or egg out the holes over time?
If it were a $50 AR lower this wouldn't even be on my mind.
It's a 1973 P.S. btw.

The powder spring pins are fairly easy to remove bc the detent holds them in place. The original guns are neat in my opinion bc of the retaining detent.
They can and will egg over time as will ALL MACS. It’s not a big deal though. You can have someone weld in the reinforcement tabs after you shoot 15k rounds with it or when you feel like it, no rush.

I would suggest using the tightest pin and or reloading a reduced powder load that works in your gun.
Lastly, You could try making a delrin pin and that might take the the force vs your lower. I was supposed to be testing a delrin pin out that a forum member made but the postal service sent it to Mars.

Yeah the retainer in the center groove of the pin is different.
My .45 ACP loads are milder than factory, and it runs great on Wolf 115 grain 9mm which is light compared to +P or NATO rounds.

I’m more thoughtful about the sear/selector pin egging over time.

Nobody mentions it but that pin gets a hard-stop from the bolt quite often.

Delrin (Acetal) is a good choice, but Alliance Armaments used to make their pins from molydenum loaded nylon, much cheaper and easier to machine.

Doesn't the sear post help with this?
