Factory Folder?

There was a fellow in the Houston area about 6 months back selling a used 10/22 with what appeared to be the same design but scaled down version of the Mini-14 factory folding stock.

He claimed it was either factory made or a special run of 'dealer special'.

Back in the 80s Ramline made a "sorta copy" of the mini14 folder for the 10/22, and Falcon made a much closer copy, the main difference was an AR15 grip instead of the fatter Ruger version. There was also a guy on Rimfire Central about 3 years ago made a dozen or so copies of his Ruger folder stock mechanism and was grafting them onto 10/22 stocks with the Mini14 gasblock adapted to the front end to make it look more like the mini. AFAIK Ruger never made a factory folder stock for the 10/22.

I had one of those Ramline stocks years ago. The grip was funky and had to be removed before you could disassemble the gun.

Just saw another article on the Samson repro, apparently the MSRP is $300, which probably means around $250 if they ever get discounted. Not too terribly bad, considering what an original goes for!
