Mr Folgers are you able find blueprints or specs for the FFV 890C as we have for the Galil's so you can duplicate some of the parts to spec?

Unfortunately I do not have the blueprints, but it would be quite easy to clone the FFV890C.
The selector and dust cover would only need some spot welded extensions, the gas tubes and pistons chopped, and new fabricated handguards. However I recollect that injection-molding is quite expensive unless you plan on doing mass-production... the molds are likely cheaper than investment-castings like Steel but still quite expensive.

In my opinion... not worth trying to replicate if you do not have the handguards. The retainers are bent steel clips that should be easy to make, the handguards not so much. Rest of the parts are just modified IMI pieces that could be done in a workshop easily enough.

The reason for a rubber deflector/buffer there is to save your brass some wear and tear, not the rifle itself...

I've seen door edge guards recommended around the ejection port lip as well but the valmet buffer looks to be the cleanest fix -- and it looks relatively simple to fab... And works on all AKs apparently, which is why I anticipate that someone will make the jump and repro them already.

I'm sending an email to Manticore Arms encouraging them to make a copy of these buffers that will direct install on a Galil...

They make a lot of accessories for less common weapons systems and look to be constantly looking to expand their offerings. If you have an interest in more galil stuff, I'd encourage you to do the same. Thanks!

Decided I don't need all my spare FFV parts so I'm selling if the price is right.

Send me a PM with your e-mail address if you are interested in anything.

Have most parts.

The gas block is different as well...

I fondeled and photographed the FFV-890 (modified Galil SAR), and 890C at the Swedish Army museum last week. I really liked the 890C. With the shorter gas system, it didn't feel front heavy like Galils often do.

The handguard system is a PITA to reassemble with the gas tube. Everything has to be perfectly aligned.

Yes the Gas Block is cast slightly longer than standard Galil and has the front handguard retainer affixed.

Any photographs of it I would appreciate!
