I'm thinking about funding a SCAR purchase, any opinions here regarding that rifle? worth it?

Just going to be used as another novelty target rifle.

I have no doubt that the SCAR is a fine rifle. I also have no doubt that it costs twice what it should. If you really want one, then yes--it's worth it. Just tell your wife it was on sale.:goofygrin

I have a SCAR-L and have been really happy with it. I don't know if mine is exceptionally accurate or not, but with an Aimpoint M4, I've been cleaning clocks in qualification courses.

Yeah I've heard they are very accurate. I may hold out till the 17s comes out next month too. I was also thinking on the lines of a Springfield loaded or NM for a new .308, but the SCAR is an interesting rifle. Too bad it's not priced in the SIG 556 range.

I love my SCAR L. It is light and accurate. Most importantly it goes bang even with reloads. It is very easy to disassemble. Only thing I don't like is the reciprocating charging handle, but it is better than the sling shot handle on a AR.
