Acceptable for the guy who bought his FNC for $700 twenty years ago.

A handful were sold pretty quick on GB in the summer of '14 for $6,500. If I recall correctly those auctions included the 3rd burst kit which is worth about $500.

Price of FNC Sear

If memory serves me correct the last one I saw sold for $6500. Over a year ago. Not many around, I've been looking. No way would I pay $7500 for a sear when I can buy a fully converted gun for about $11,000. on GunBroker.

Except that are a lot of folks already own a semi FNC that they were going to buy a sear for "someday". Then they all dried up. While I agree that buying a pre-converted rifle would be the way to go if you were just getting into FNCs, $7500 would be a realistic sear price if converted rifles are going for ~$11K. $7500 sear + $3000 rifle + $600 for sear install.

FNC SEAR

Good point OKbud. Plus if you put the sear in your own gun you know what you have. It's just hard to believe they are getting so much when only five years ago you could purchase one for three grand. Fact is, I seriously doubt there are many left out there. I would not be surprised if they hit ten grand soon.

Paid 2700.00 for mine in spring 2012; when they were averaging around 3K.
