Hello everyone,
I'm a new member that stumbled on this site and it just so happens that this thread is about me!
Here's the backstory...
I found, fell in love and bought a very clean 1955 Chevy Convertible for a little more than 25K. For those of you that know the classic car market know what kind of deal that is. Since I am retired I must get rid of something until the recent acquisition is "covered". My Corvette was first to go and that was easy. Then I reluctantly cracked open my safe and in front were my 2 FNC's. I put one on GB with a manual and aftermarket rail and a guy local to me reached out and I cancelled the auction. My buy it now was $5500.00 and that's what he offered. BOOM, one is gone. While riding this high I listed the 2nd rifle and it sold for $5K even. Once I sent it off I had TERRIBLE sellers remorse and I wanted one back. I did the math and got $10,500 for the pair and I was in them $6000.00. While I was a bit hasty and paid more than I wanted to the time was right. I paid just north of $4400.00 but I got a pretty sweet rifle. Other than a couple storage marks she appears to be unfired or very close to it.
So now... my never ending search resumes for other heart stopping items. lol
On the 20th of December a gentleman on the FAL Files posts an auction he found on gunauction. Here I go again! It's an unfired FAL 50.63 and it's immaculate. Of course I have been looking for one of those for a fair price. I plugged in my highest bid. That afternoon I got an email that I won and $3605.00 with insured shipping got the prize. She will be here next Thursday.
Anyway, it's funny that I found a thread about my impulse buy and that's what brought me here!
Everyone have a safe rest of the holiday season.
