Front takedown pin hole slightly ovaling

I'd like to experiment with these, but a quick question... does a broken pin result in a runaway upper detaching itself from the lower?

I do not have a lathe, but if someone wants to make Delrin pins I would buy a few. The newer Lage uppers are adjustable to make sure they are in contact with the backplate so egging the takedown pin hole should not be an issue. Of course I still shoot OEM uppers also so having some Delrin pins might be a good "ounce of prevention".

I'll have to see if I have some delrin around and maybe make a couple.

I keep pretty busy, I'll try to make time.

I'm interested also. I have a Powder Springs with the original style pin.
