I guess that would have to apply to everyone who likes to do mag dumps into lakes and ponds on a regular basis and don’t even realize that bullets can ricochet off water… you would be amazed at the number of people who do this and have no clue it’s even remotely risky. “Huh!??Bullets can’t bounce off water!”..Yes but if you have to be told to look at that then you really shouldn't have a gun in your hand. Ever.
Or Tannerite at 30 feetShooting at metal can be dangerous. Remember this one with the 50 BMG rifle?
Wait! You can skip a rock off water too?! That’s crazy townI guess that would have to apply to everyone who likes to do mag dumps into lakes and ponds on a regular basis and don’t even realize that bullets can ricochet off water… you would be amazed at the number of people who do this and have no clue it’s even remotely risky. “Huh!??Bullets can’t bounce off water!”..
Tell that to Nancy McEwen..
“In July 1967, 17-year-old
Nancy McEwen was killed by a stray bullet while driving on the Belt Parkway near Plumb Beach, Brooklyn. A fisherman, Anthony DeLisi, was firing a rifle at sharks in the water, and a bullet ricocheted off the surface, traveling over a mile to strike her”
At first they thought she had been murdered by another motorist. Bullet came in through her open car window and splattered her brains. Over a mile away.
That said, it’s still fun to shoot into bodies of water… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just be aware of the potential risk. That guy was lucky he was wearing eye pro. That video would have been a lot bloodier if he hadn’t been.
A buddy of mine sent me a pretty gruesome photo of a half of a copper jacketed 9mm round embedded in his upper cheek, millimeters below his eyeball, he was shooting steel with his sten and the round shattered and ricocheted and got lodged in his face. A couple millimeters higher and he would have most certainly been blinded in that eye.

I got some they are great but this was not me and not my video. I suggest the generation 2 if you are going to use it for other stuff also or just want the greatest thing, otherwise gen 1 are cheaper and fine for occasional use. I use mine a lot so Gen2 with double the battery is my preference. Those glasses are great for shooters who want to share the shooting experience. I'm going to buy some for Richard on his runs.![]()

Mount it properly so it angles down also.AR 500 at least 3/8", but 1/2" is better. Don't use green tip even at distance. If there is any damage to the surface of the plate, smooth it out. Once the surface has a pock mark, back splatter is much more likely.

If you ever cracked safety glasses (I have from a ruptured case) you'd be glad you paid what they cost, even $300! You'd also learn to back up and not worry about your tiktok so much I'd hope.Shooting an object with high kinetic potential is typically a "roll of the dice". That guy was quite close to that fire extinguisher. Neat video but $300 glasses is $300 I could put towards another machine gun!
