I AM VERY NEW TO THE GALIL WORLD SO PLEASE EXCUSE ME IF I AM PLOWING OLD GROUND. I TRIED SEARCHING OLD THREADS BUT I DID NOT FIND THE ANSWERS I WAS LOOKING FOR. I NEED TO FIND MAGAZINES FOR A .223 GALIL AND I AM EXPERIENCING STICKER SHOCK COMPARED TO WHAT I AM USED TO PAYING FOR AK47/74/AR MAGS. I AM WILLING TO PAY THE PRICES THAT THE MARKET DICTATES BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MY OPTIONS AND HAVE A GOOD FEELING THAT I AM NOT OVERPAYING. THANKS

CDNN & DSA have them for around $20, or at least very recently they did. I think both advertise them to be like new or in very good condition. If they are in very good condition, that is a good price. A few years ago during the ban years and before the recent Galil craze, I remember being excited if I could find a magazine for $35 here and there.

The ones Apex is selling is definitely a good price, I'm just concerned that they appear to be worn out. I have stockpiled a good supply of Galil mags now and they are all in very good condition. I would want an even better price to buy mags that have substantial finish wear and small dents. I'm sure Apex stands behind them so if you get one that doesn't work they would take it back, and you could always refinish them with GunKote. I have considered buying several and doing that but the time and money I would put into it I think I would just be better off paying a little extra for the better condition mags to start with.

I was considering the same thing. Refinishing is no problem, I have a guy that could do it for $25 bucks. Removing the dents is what I am not sure about. There is no real solution for that.

Might be a good idea to replace weak springs in older Galil mags. I replaced mine with M-16 extra-power mag springs.

I have 4x 35 rounders which have been refinished and have new Wolf springs (work done by Jeff Miller (Hillbilly Firearms)). I have switched to Tapco mags and I will sell them for $10 each + postage Picture here:

PM sent, I'd like first dibs if RDB doesn't want them.

Mr Folgers, I'm trying to clarify Blazin's location to verify legality to own, once we have that straightened out I will let you know the status.
