Gassier suppressor host: Max 11 or Max 31?

I'm curious how a Max 11 or Max 11K compares to a Max 31 or Max 31C in terms of gas for the user. Obviously the Max 11 variants are more compact, which is helpful when adding a suppressor on the end, but I keep reading about how gassy the Max 11s are. Does moving the chamber and ejection port forward of the frame as on a Max 31 or Max 31C help with gas to the shooter's face enough to justify the added length?

Gas is similar, but yes getting the port further from your face improves the experience.

Just for a frame of reference, any idea how either compares to an Uzi in terms of gas?

My MAX-11 is definitely more gassy than the MAX-31 when shooting suppressed. Having some type of gas kicker does make a difference.

I don’t get any noticeable gassing with the Uzi.

I've got the Lage suppressor block in my max-11k and it made minimal difference while suppressed. A couple things mitigate: Shoot outside so gas is less of a issue, shoot on the move so you're not sitting there in a gas cloud, and use a good laser because why have a cheek/chin weld when you can go full hip weld.
