I’m a bit confused - is the hybrid project only for the M11s, or for the M10s as well?Yes. Please send an email to tina@macmachineguns.com and let me know if you want the bolt for the m11/nine or the m11a1/380 and if it’s for a 380 gun, is it a small or large mag well.
Both. Actually all three. The 380, m11/9mm and the m10’s.I’m a bit confused - is the hybrid project only for the M11s, or for the M10s as well?
Thanks, that post I quoted sounded like it was only for the m11s.Both. Actually all three. The 380, m11/9mm and the m10’s.
Originally, the CFW bolts were only for the M11 and 380 guns. Before his passing, Vegas SMG was toying with the CFW bolt for the M10 and found it was too heavy and expensive to be practical. In theory, the hybrid bolt will combine both metals so that a M10 slow fire bolt may actually be practical. We'll see...Thanks, that post I quoted sounded like it was only for the m11s.
While I don't own an M10 I'm curious, will the proposed M10 slow fire multi-bolt be offered in 9mm as well as .45 ACP versions? If so, will the 9mm version be able to accommodate dual feed 9mm (e.g., Uzi) magazines?Originally, the CFW bolts were only for the M11 and 380 guns. Yes and Yes. The idea will be that the bolt carrier for the M10 will be a universal part that will work in any M10 regardless of configuration. Then one would purchase the appropriate bolt face - whether steel or tungsten or whatever - to affix to the bolt carrier. We'll be offering bolt faces for all configurations you've mentioned. While I don't own an M10 I'm curious, will the proposed M10 slow fire multi-bolt be offered in 9mm as well as .45 ACP versions? Hi Tina,The ROF was 805 in an M11/NINE with our hybrid steel/tungsten bolt and 1255 with the OEM steel bolt.

Not yet. The hybrid project is in it's infancy. The only thing we've created so far is the bolt for the M11/NINE.Hi Tina,
Has the 380 hybrid bolt been made? ROF tested?
Thank you.
From a mechanical operational standpoint, there probably wouldn't be an issue, though ejection might be lame. That said, from a shooter control perspective, some might find accurate, controllable shooting difficult. The "bowling ball in a shoebox effect".I will admit to knowing nothing about machining, but would there be any benefit to making the back half of the bolt tungsten and the bolt face steel? That way if the face wore out, or you want to switch caliber, it would be a cheaper material to repurchase. Is the bolt face easier to machine than the body? Would the bolt carrier weigh too much?
Super excited to hear that this is still a possibility!
