I have owned an Uzi Model B for a couple of years now. I just got one of the GG&G M3 tac light mounts. It is swweeeeeet!!!!! The mount comes affixed to black foregrips. The mount and M3 light blend nicely with the Uzi. The lights on/off switch is easily manipulated with the left hand thumb. I affixed the mount to a set of green foregrips. I used a dremel tool to remove some plastic from the underside of the left foregrip panel. You need to do this so the mounts backing plate has room to fit between the plastic and the guns reciever. Be careful not to remove to much. Those foregrips get thin in a hurry!!!

I also put an E&L Manufacturing barrel shroud on the 16 incher. It looks much better now. I used the non-vented type. Looks like a real can.

:welcome RPD20, glad to see you made it. Have you seen the bayonet mount rail that Botach has? Which do you like better and why? Karl.

Well, Ive only seen pictures of the Botach mount on this site. I have not used one in person. From the pics Ive seen of it, I dont like it. Seems to me the Light hangs to far toward the rear of the gun, hence taking up alot of room under the foregrip. It dosnt leave alot of room for the support hand. It also looks as though the user would have to be somewhat of a contortionist to easily engage the on/off switch.

The GG&G mount is very natural. You can still get a good grasp on the foregrip. The on/off switch is at your left thumb. The only drawback Ive found to the mount being affixed to the left side foregrip is that the light is between the gun and your body when slung in front of you with a tactical sling. The light can accidently turn on when your thigh bumps it. This is how I sling mine with a standard sling. In front with the muzzle pointed towards my left foot. I can still shoulder the weapon easily but if I need to transision to my sidearm, I just let go of the rifle. It drops in front, I can then draw my pistol.

This would be easily fixed by affixing the light mount to the right side foregrip panel. You could then use your index finger to activate the light. I may try this set up in the future.

Thanks for the response. Currently I use a barrel mount for my laser and the switch is mounted to a velcro pad on the left side of the front sight hood. I like the switch right there for the same reason as you, it's just so easy to get to with the left hand thumb. I like the Botach as well though, as long as it's the one that is further forward. Karl.
