Go-to subsonic 9mm ammo?

Looking to purchase subsonic 9mm for my M11/9 and GSL Phoenix combo, running a Lage SK upper. I know specialty 158gr rounds exist but from what I’ve seen they’re too expensive to justify buying in bulk over 147gr.

Been eyeing Speer Lawman 147gr but not sure how well it’ll run with it’s flat nose. Tough to find round nose 147gr ammo that aren’t reman, and I haven’t yet dipped my toes into reloading my own spent brass.

Any suggestions? I know what runs well in your guns may not run well in mine, just looking for a starting point.

If you reload Xtreme bullets has 165gr projos. They are quite a bit of fun.

I reload 115gr to subs. They work great in my m11/9 with a cfw-a bolt (works without a can too). Light on the powder and light on the crimp. They even function in my ole clapped out glock.

I have used many thousands of the blazer 147 semi flat point, and they feed perfectly in a 31 upper, but do not feed as well from a stick magazine. If you want a good all around 147 gr then you want round nose, which is hard to find for cheap prices. The Blazer is often the same price or only slightly more than 115 so if you're rocking a 31 upper I highly recommend.

Also cci brass is the same as Speer save the encapsulated bullet more or less. Same fps

Chronographed from my STENS they average 920 FPS. Very quiet.

They also run great in my Lage Max 10/31k.

They will run without a suppressor as well.

For the factory ammo, PPU is the cheapest ROUND NOSE 158 grn. load at $0.44 via SG Ammo. But if you load your own, the 160 grain RN from Blue Bullets is just $0.10 per pill. I load these over 3.1 grains of CFE, and it produces 830fps out of the Glock 19 and 900fps out of the Uzi. The hottest I've ever loaded these are with 3.6 grains of Longshot, which produces 890fps out of the G19 and 950fps out of the Uzi.

Xtreme currently has 165gr projos for $0.10 a pop. I load those around 840 fps with tight group from a G34. They run great in my Lage Max31 too.

Xtreme is plates bullets.

Blue bullets appears to be powder coated.

I have found what you need and seriously believe there is nothing better for shooting through a suppressor. Well, the only way it could be better is if it had a round nose. At any rate, get the Speer Lawman 147gr TMJ Cleanfire.

The spent cases almost look like they could be reloaded without being cleaned. Suppressors and guns don't get near as dirty using this ammunition as they do with typical ammunition. I found an ammunition retailer in North Carolina who's selling it for $275 per 1,000rd case delivered with no sales tax if you don't live in North Carolina.

I actually picked up 1,000rds of Speer lawman 147gr and it’s ran flawlessly, have about 200rds left but so far no issues. Don’t think the ones I bought are “clean fire” but I’ll give those a try as well. Appreciate all the suggestions!

I use the xtreme 165gr as well (my local cabelas carries it). Paired with aa#7 it is reliable and quiet in my uzi. Dont have my load numbers right now or velocities.

My load is 2.5gr of Titegroup at 775FPS. I'd have to look up my OAL. Run it in everything from the M10 to the AK and my BHP. Anything threaded. Haven't shot them in a long time but I'm also currently out of 9mm projos.
