I would call Century and check with them.

BTW, it sure looks sweet.

Thanks.
Looks like this one is out of the range of the recall:)
I'm still nervous though. Hope I can sneak out and shoot it soon and see how she operates.
Anything I should be looking out for, problem wise?

You supposedly should be safe. Century recalled all Golanis with serial numbers under GAL02393.

Three more questions to the wise:)

Is the flash suppressor threads left hand like an AK or standard thread and what is the thread size?

I read that steal case ammo is not recommended in these weapons is that true?

Which aperture site is the 300/500M peep? I cannot make out the markings on the sight face.

Please see my post under Century Galil Recall.

I got my rifle back - or I shoud say a rifle back. The rifle I received is a different rifle than the one I sent Century. The new rifle has Hebrew lettering on the receiver, has a three position selctor and ius serial GA031xx. The rifle I sent for repair was serial number GA017xx.

And here's the question we've all been waiting for. Does it have a spring loaded firing pin? I'm not sending mine back as it's been checked out by a pro & was given a clean bill of health. GARY N4KVE

I got to shoot my Golani this weekend, it ran perfect!
The magazines suck though, the refinished one would jamb on the last round every time and the spare beat up mag is dented/crushed and will only load to 25 rounds without it hanging up.
What are the best mags, in your opinion? I would like to get 5 at least for now.

Take those mags apart and clean 'em out real good ....especially the beat up one.

Both the mags that came with my CAI Galil work flawlessly, but that beat up one took some heavy cleaning before I even thought about putting ammo in it.

I would buy 5 or 10 Orlites to go along with your new rifle.

Even if you have to have the receiver tweaked a bit to be able to use the Orlites.

I did clean them before I tried them, I'll try to take the dents out and see if I can get them running. In the mean time I will find a few of those Orlites.

Sometimes older mags need new springs to function properly.

You could take a known good mag and switch out the spring with a bad mad to see if that cures the problem.

Of course, with the dented one, I would fix the dent or trash the mag.

That is a nice looking rifle. Did you purchase it local, or from an online distributor?

I bought it local, American Shooters on Arvill had about 6 or 7 to choose from.
Might have costed a bit more, but after shipping, transfer fee and not being able to pick the one you want, I say keep the local shops in business:)

I agree, unfortunately my local shops cater to hunters, and doesn't stock rifles like that. They had a shocked look on their face when they opened up my box from Vector and pulled out an UZI last month.:jester

The picture of your Golani pushed me over the edge. I ordered one from Classicarms.us
I hope it works and looks as good as yours does.
